I agree with you there, have any of you read Paradise Lost by John Milton? I have a theory that Angels can be wounded to a certain point, and infact i believe Satan himself was wounded in the Rebellion by having one of his eye's taken out during battle. The anti-christ is supposedly to have one eye and i have a hunch that satan has one eye. It is nothing i would write in stone, just a theory! Zechariah 11:15 The Lord said to me, “Take again for yourself the equipment of a foolish shepherd. 16 For behold, I am going to raise up a shepherd in the land who will not care for the perishing, seek the scattered, heal the broken, or sustain the one standing, but will devour the flesh of the fat sheep and tear off their hoofs. 17 “Woe to the worthless shepherd Who leaves the flock! A sword will be on his arm And on his right eye! His arm will be totally withered And his right eye will be blind.” I believe this is the passage you are referring to. This is in regards to a future leader of Israel, it would be a stretch to say that is the antichrist, as it appears the antichrist will come from Europe by the prophecies.

The IRA certainly qualifies.

Not sure how you come to that conclusion. The great tribulation begins with the abomination of desolation, that happens with 3 1/2 years to follow. The additional time that passes which Daniel speaks of are in regards to when New Jerusalem arrives, which takes place after the judgement of the unsaved and angels, plus the rewarding of the prophets and servants. This time accounts for the additional days in my opinion.

I have to disagree, if a minority enters a restaurant now, they cannot be refused service as was the case prior to these laws, which are federal laws. They take precedence over state laws, and while I am glad they are not pursuing the matter, I wouldn't be surprised if someone else doesn't push for action. It comes down to the definition of discrimination, which is still not clearly established yet in regards to same-sex issues, but will be before long. Particularly if people continue to refuse service on these type of grounds, just as it was in regards to racial discrimination.
-
You are correct ladyc in regards to the license. However, because of the civil rights act and legislation that is now law in this land, no one has the right to refuse service to anyone in a public establishment. So while individuals may have personal reservations about others, they are going to run into problems when they refuse service to others based on what our laws consider "discrimination."

Does anyone believe in and follow lordship salvation?

I think you are confusing blasphemy for what it is. While it is certainly not a good thing to take the Lord's name in vain, it is not the same as blasphemy. Blasphemy is against the Holy Spirit per scripture, and my understanding is that this would be rejection of the Holy Spirit. That is, not accepting Jesus, which is in essence rejecting the Holy Spirit. As far as your sins, scripture states that once you are saved, your sins are remembered no more, removed as far as the east is from the west. Don't get entangled in legalism, no one is perfect, we are made perfect in Him. Matthew 12:30 He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me scatters. 31 “Therefore I say to you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven. 32 Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come. -
Hello again Salty, I think you lose me on this when you indicate that the Jews will still be in Jerusalem. They won't, per the prophets and also John in Revelation 12. The remnant spoken of by the prophets flee Jerusalem at the beginning of the great tribulation. This also coincides with Jerusalem being given over to the Gentiles for 42 months per Revelation 11:2. They will flee to the wilderness as prophesied, so Jerusalem for the final 3 1/2 years is not where the Jewish remnant will be found. Israel will not successfully defend Jerusalem, they are going to lose the city and their country and go into hiding. People seem to think Israel will achieve some great victory during the end times, but everyone is in for a big surprise when they are overran.

I need help with this because I'm confused....

You didn't say anything wrong in my opinion. There is one thing I would add that maybe you are not aware of. He has a drug problem, and an alcohol problem, and that is why he is now having financial problems. What he needs is prayer and help from a therapist. -
If all Israel will be saved, why does Zechariah prophesy this? Zechariah 13:“It will come about in all the land,” Declares the Lord, “That two parts in it will be cut off and perish; But the third will be left in it. 9 “And I will bring the third part through the fire, Refine them as silver is refined, And test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, And I will answer them; I will say, ‘They are My people,’ And they will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’” And why does Paul write this? Romans 2:5 But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, 6 who will render to each person according to his deeds: 7 to those who by perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life; 8 but to those who are selfishly ambitious and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, wrath and indignation. 9 There will be tribulation and distress for every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek, 10 but glory and honor and peace to everyone who does good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 11 For there is no partiality with God. There is a very consistent message found within all the prophets, and that is when they speak of Israel in the last days, they speak of a remnant.

I guess you did not care to go to the Scripture reference and think about it, so let's bring that Scripture to everyone's attention (2 Thess 2:6,7): 6And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. In the context of 2 Thess 2:1-12, what exactly is Paul revealing? v 3 -- The Man of Sin, the Son of Perdition (the Antichrist) must be revealed at the appropriate time, which is after the Falling Away or Apostasy of Christendom v 4 -- The Antichrist is the greatest blasphemer of all -- he will present himself as "God" v 5 -- The Thessalonians had already heard about this matter v 6 -- There is a restraint and a Restrainer holding back the appearance of the Antichrist (accompanied by Satan v. 9) until he be revealed "in his time" (Rev 13:1-18). "What withholdeth" is a translation from the Greek το κατεχον (to katechon) = THAT WHICH RESTRAINS (literal). v 7 -- The Restrainer is the One who restrains, until He be TAKEN OUT OF THE WAY. So now the first question is who has the power to restrain Satan on earth, and hold back the appearance of the Antichrist? Scripture is very, very clear that GOD ALONE has the power to restrain and rebuke Satan (Jude 9). Even Michael the archangel, who is an extremely power chief angel, could only say regarding the body of Moses "The Lord rebuke thee" to Satan, and could only cast Satan down to the earth (Rev 12:7-9). The second question is which Person of the Godhead can be "taken out of the way [ ἕως ἐκ μέσου γένηται ( eōs ek mesou genētai) = "out of the midst he be gone"]? We know that God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ are in Heaven on their thrones. We also know that the Holy Spirit is on this earth while the Church is being assembled, and He indwells all believers while He convicts and convinces the world. So it should be evident, that when the Church is raptured, the Holy Spirit is "taken out of the way", which is a pre-condition for Satan and the Antichrist to take full control of this earth. [Most Preterist commentators apply these verses to the Roman Empire, which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.] No, I read the passage just fine, and though you wish to capitalize the "he" in your commentary, it is not capitalized in scripture. So who hurls Satan and his angels to the earth? The few times Michael is mentioned in scripture, it is always in reference to dealing with Satan in some regard. This seems to be one of his primary duties. Are you saying that the Holy Spirit is simply going to abandon all believers during the tribulation? How do you reconcile this scripture to your theory? Joel 2:28 “It will come about after this That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; And your sons and daughters will prophesy, Your old men will dream dreams, Your young men will see visions. 29 “Even on the male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. That doesn't sound like removal to me at all, can you explain that? Angels battle against the enemy in the spiritual realm, this is not some vague notion, it is well established in scripture.

This needs some clarification. We see in Rev 13 that God allows Satan, the Beast and the False Prophet complete control of this world for 3 1/2 years (Rev 13:5). Which means that his power is not diminished at that time but temporarily increased, because the restraining power of the Holy Spirit is removed (2 Thess 2:6,7). There is no scriptural support that the Holy Spirit will be removed, or that His role will ever change, quite the opposite in fact. John 14:16 I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; 17 that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you. What scriptures portray the Holy Spirit in such a role as restraining? He is a guide and a comforter. When it comes to restraining evil, and protecting believers from the dark powers of this world, angels would be the proper fit. That is what is displayed throughout scripture, the identity of the restrainer from Thessalonians would be more fitting of the archangel Michael. Jude 1:9 But Michael the archangel, when he disputed with the devil and argued about the body of Moses, did not dare pronounce against him a railing judgment, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!” Daniel 10:21 However, I will tell you what is inscribed in the writing of truth. Yet there is no one who stands firmly with me against these forces except Michael your prince. Daniel 12:1 “Now at that time Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued. Revelation 12:7 And there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. The dragon and his angels waged war, 8 and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven. When Michael and his angels throw Satan out of heaven coincides with the restrainer being removed, as specified in II Thessalonians, all of this occurs at the beginning of the great tribulation, the final 3 1/2 years. II Thessalonians 2:6 And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. 8 Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming;

Ok, thanks for clarifying. I thought that might be what you meant.

Just out of curiosity, how can a unbeliever receive a gift from the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit is for believers, as are the gifts. Maybe I am misunderstanding you here.
-
According to scripture, God is going to take care of that.
-
You bring up some interesting points, will have to think and pray on this. God bless you.
-
I just read through from beginning to end, and then start over again, how much I read any given day varies depending on circumstances.
-
If I am interested in someone, I just go up and talk to them. Will pray for you, of course, God bless.
-
I see, are you looking for advice on something then?
-
So am I. I mean, are those your words in the post, or just yours at the bottom? Is there a question in there somewhere? What kind of advice are you looking for?
