The "carcase" idea our Lord Jesus used in Matt.24:28 was His answer in Luke 17:37 of where the first one taken would be taken to... So no, I would not agree, since our Lord Jesus gave us more info about that 'taken' idea here in Luke 17. Luke 17 34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. 35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 37 And they answered and said unto Him, "Where, Lord?" And He said unto them, "Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together." Just as with many topics spread out in different parts of God's Word, especially in The Four Gospels, the combination of related parts makes a whole. If we skip His Message on a subject in one Book we will most likely miss His real intent of the teaching. So once these Luke 17:34-37 passages are understood about the one 'taken', then we go back and look at Matthew 24 and understand what He really meant. In the OT prophets, God also gave a flood metaphor for how the enemey comes in like a flood for the end times. It's also used about the Antichrist in the Dan.9 example, and in Rev.12 about waters as a flood coming out of the serpent's mouth. That's a parallel for the end times of the flood of Noah's days, but it has a spiritual meaning for the last days, not another literal flood like in Noah's day. Hey salty, By body, couldn't that be understood to mean, "the body of Christ." Being that those taken immediately return with Him to what we see depicted in Revelation chapter 19? That is my understanding of it. I don't see that those taken are said to be the carcasses, just that they will be where the carcasses are. God bless you.

Consider that believers already have the seal of the Holy Spirit, which is on our hearts. This is what Paul discusses regarding the matter of circumcision, God bless you.

I agree with you on that as well tigger.

I agree completely tigger, that is the imagery of the rapture.

I disagree that Rev. 9:4 is "much earlier in the tribulation." Last Daze and I see the Trib ending at the 6th seal, at which point the Wrath of God begins, 6:17. During the Wrath, "the time of Jacob's trouble" takes place. The sealing-sanctification of the 144,000 spiritually protects and fortifies them right at the beginning of the Wrath. The Rev. 9:4 passage shows that "those people who DO have the seal of God on their foreheads" -- the 144,000 -- are protected, while the unsealed are not. Well, the 5th trumpet is the first woe, so I'm not sure how you place that after the 6th seal.
-
Perhaps you can explain why the seal would be necessary at this point, or why this is written much earlier in the tribulation. Revelation 9:4 They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads.
-
At the midway point, right about the time the antichrist will rise from the fatal head wound. Somewhere around the time of the 5th trumpet.

the spectre of darkness and suicide...need to vent
wingnut- replied to Pete66's topic in Have a problem? Looking for advice?
Ah ok, I just misunderstood your post. My apologies. No, being saved does not make us suddenly perfect, although our sins are removed in His sight. Perhaps if you feel incomplete in some way, there is something you should be doing. I am not really qualified to answer that, but I will be praying for you brother. -

Hello brother, You mentioned that your life is sinful. I am not sure what those sins are, but I would suggest removing them for a start. You need not explain them, just my thoughts are that if you are willfully disobedient with God, He will let you hit rock bottom until you remove the problem. God bless you. -
I have to agree with river. That is akin to saying that when Jeremiah wrote that God knows how many hairs are on your head, that He only knows how many hairs are on the head of Jews. Doesn't quite add up does it?

You definitely had some company littlelambs, God bless. -
I have experienced this as well, it happens all the time. I too have never known what to make of it, but agree that praying has been a benefit at such times. It's nice to know I'm not alone in this, if we are weird, then we can all be weird together.

I also have to agree that the 144,000 are Jewish based on the information specifying such in scripture. I do see them as the remnant spoken of by the prophets, and I also do not see them as being witnesses. According to Hosea they will be taken aside by the Lord. Hosea 2:14 “Therefore I am now going to allure her; I will lead her into the wilderness and speak tenderly to her. 15 There I will give her back her vineyards, and will make the Valley of Achor a door of hope. There she will respond as in the days of her youth, as in the day she came up out of Egypt. And according to Revelation they will be protected from Satan for 3 1/2 years. Revelation 12:14 The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the wilderness, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, out of the serpent’s reach. I also think it is important to note what Paul wrote in I Corinthians 15 regarding the firstfruits, where scripture states that Jesus is the firstfruits, not the Jews. I Corinthians 15:20 But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. Just something for your consideration, God bless you.

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. -

What you are saying is that the Lord does not take his Bride until after the Millennium?? Hardly. We read in Rev. 19:7, “Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb came [and is continuing: Greek aorist verb], and His wife made [aorist verb] herself ready.” Meaning, Jesus has here already married his Bride before he comes with the armies of heaven to take vengeance on the nations, 19:11f. Which event is before, or more likely at, the beginning of the Millennium. The events of the Millennium are then described in Rev. 20. Everything in Rev. 21, from which chapter you quote, is 1000 years after this, thus well after the marriage of the Lamb. Well that is one of the clear indicators that Revelation is not chronological. Whether you agree with it or not, John wrote it, per God. It is scripture, the wedding takes place when New Jerusalem arrives, at the end. Pretending that this passage does not exist does not prove your point. God bless you.

Hello again salty, Here is the problem with trying to put the locust army in two separate events during the end. Revelation 9:4 They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads. 5 They were not allowed to kill them but only to torture them for five months. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes. The locust army has a limited time, five months. This is the only place we see a specific time length attached. Also, I do agree that His coming is at the sound of the 7th trumpet, and I do not believe in a pre-trib rapture. Jesus will come right when He said He will, and that according to scripture is here. Revelation 16:15 “Look, I come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and remains clothed, so as not to go naked and be shamefully exposed.” Now, I will try to explain to you how I see these final events playing out, because I think we agree on the time of the rapture, but perhaps I am not expressing it in a way you understand me. I think it begins with the opening of the 5th seal, and then the 5th trumpet sounding. The trumpet could come first, but I believe these two events will be within a short time of each other. This is when the great tribulation begins. This coincides with the antichrist rising from the fatal head wound, and the implementation of the mark of the beast which will shortly follow the 5th trumpet. You will have the war being waged against believers, while the Jewish remnant is taken aside by the Lord to the wilderness. This period will make up for the majority of the great tribulation, right up until the 6th seal is opened. When the 6th seal is opened, the world will be in total darkness, no sun, no moon, no stars. This was the first sign Jesus gave as to His coming, and the lesson from the fig tree is, that the time is near, right at the door. The final events of the 6th and 7th judgements will happen right on top of each other, with the 7th trumpet sounding in the midst of the 6th bowl, as the scripture shows above. These final events take place very quickly, in a very specific hour of a very specific day. The same day and hour Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24. As far as you attaching the locust army to the army spoken of after the 6th trumpet. Can you please explain in any reasonable fashion how you see an army that you say is the enemy as being "priestly". Which is precisely what the reference to jacinth infers, as you correctly pointed out. This to me is a no-brainer, those who take part in the first resurrection are said to be this. Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years. The suggestion that the word "priestly" could be applied to the wicked does not compute with me. Coupled with the fact that the locust army only has five months. I look forward to your response, God bless you.

Hello again kitty, I just want to make sure you understand I am not passing judgement on either of you. From what you said in your original post, you both made mistakes, and I think you agree with that. My concern is for your walk with Christ, and I think when you start consulting mediums, and venture into areas meant only for a husband and wife, you are flirting with disaster. I don't know this man, or you, only what you shared. I certainly do not mean to imply that either of you are wicked, or to make you feel shame. As for your response above, I would say this. Your brother and his wife did not make all the right choices either, but if they are now on the right path, you should be happy for them. Don't harbor resentment. You are only accountable for your choices, don't cloud them with the choices others make. Life is not fair, I'm not sure what gave you the impression it is, but trust me, it is not. Just step back from this for a bit, and try to look at it from a non-emotional state of mind. You will be in my prayers, God bless you.

Hello again salty, Ok, so let's compare these two armies using the lists you give above. For clarity, I am going to call the first army the locust army, and the second army I'll just refer to as the other army. The locust army have tails and stings like scorpions. The other army have tails like serpents. Not the same. The locust army cannot kill, only torment. The other army is going to kill a third of mankind. Not the same. The locust army have breastplates of iron. The other army has breastplates of fire and brimstone and jacinth. Not the same. Now, the significance of the iron breastplate is related to Jesus and His reign with an iron scepter. And what do we know of fire and brimstone? That is reserved for the wicked as judgement. And jacinth? Who are the priestly? That would be those who take part in the first resurrection, believers. And why the emphasis on what comes out of their mouths? Revelation 19:11 I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. 12 His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. 13 He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. 14 The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. The other army is this army spoken of here. It is our Lord who destroys the wicked with the sharp sword coming out of His mouth to strike down the nations, with an iron scepter. You and I will be a part of the other army, and we are the good guys. So you see, I am not compressing scripture, it compresses itself with a fast and furious finish, just as Isaiah foretold. The last two woes are depicted in chapter 18, when mystery Babylon receives her double portion, or two woes. You however are trying to compress scripture by making the locust army appear in two different judgements, when the differences between the two are not ignorable. I look forward to your response, God bless you.

Hello kitty, I think from all appearances that this was a toxic relationship for you. Perhaps the reason this individual came into your life was to lead you astray, remember that the enemy roams about like a lion seeking to devour. Not everything or everyone that comes into our life is from God. Some of these trappings you fell into go hand in hand with long distance relationships. The reason people get into long distance relationships is because they are lonely and so badly want to find someone to be with. Therein lays the problem, because you cannot be with someone who is miles and miles away. Then to prove your love to each other, you find yourselves doing things that you know God does not approve of. Now I'm not saying that a long distance relationship cannot work, but it requires discipline from both parties. At some point the idea should be to come together, and like any couple does, you begin making plans for the future. I think in this instance, you were probably given some early warning signs, such as the disagreement on same sex lifestyles. In your heart I think you knew then that you were not equally yoked with this individual, but your longing for love trumped your better judgement. Be patient and wait for the man God has in mind for you, I truly do not believe this guy was the right one. Praying for you, God bless.

So the way you understand it is that Jesus the Bridegroom will come in the clouds, “those who are ready [will go] in with him to the wedding, and the door [will be] shut.” (Matt. 25:10) Immediately after the wedding ceremony takes place, Jesus will tell his new bride, “Dear, strap on your sword, because we're now returning to earth to kill myriads of people and shed rivers of blood. Oh, and also 'the elements will melt with fervent heat, and both the earth and the works in it will be burned up!'” (2 Pet. 3:10) [And I can just hear the Bride say, “Jesus m'love, this isn't exactly what a girl has in mind for her honeymoon...] Hello William, The wedding doesn't come until the end, as recorded here by John in Revelation. Revelation 21:9 One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” 10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. God bless you.
