  1. Yeah.......I had gotten accustomed to blaming everything bad that ever happened in human time on poor old BUSH. I thought I had it all figured out. It was so easy.
  2. I hope those poor folks pull through this. May God be with them.
  3. I had friends who believed strongly that Hurricane Katrina was the Rapture.
  4. I think it would be wonderful -- really great. I'm Catholic, of course. Nonetheless, I find it hard to believe, but I must admit, the source seems very credible. Wow. I never would have thunk it.
  5. As in the case of most religious declarations of war against Evil, we must interpret these words with great caution. They could be interpreted as divine sanction of holocaust.
  6. This is a great opportunity for Israel to show charity to those who suffer, and to invite foreigners to live in the safety and prosperity within its borders, in a spirit of universal brotherhood.
  7. This sounds plausible, but should be watched carefully. Israeli expansionism is a major cause of perpetual conflict in the Middle East. Neither side can be trusted fully. Yes, America's policies over there should continue to favor Israel, but Israel must behave itself. Land-grabbing is an egregious offense against the hope and hard-work of peace-making.
  8. America has been living 'high off the hog', so to speak, materially, at least, and now finds itself increasingly desperate to maintain its standard of living, which appears doomed, thanks to the rise of India and China as gas-guzzling, nascent industrial powers. All things except God come to an end.
  9. All things except God come to an end. It's inevitable that the U.S. will someday perish, along with Planet Earth, in all probability. In the end, everything is overcome by something.
  10. I'm not much of a Manicheeist (philosophy of Good versus Evil, as the sum total of human experience), but I do believe Evil holds sway in certain circles in human society. True enough -- it's a mystery, isn't it? We know God is all powerful and all good, but nonetheless, Evil triumphs from time to time. We simply cannot discern for sure what the Lord has in mind.
  11. I'm into dogs, big time. Got two doxies who give me tons of love. Wouldn't want to live without them. Yipper.
  12. I dug Fort Huachuca, AZ, way back in the dang old day. The Huachuca Mountains are beautiful.
  13. What will tip the balance and plunge the country into total chaos will be the election of Obama and Clinton to the Presidency. Look out. I expect all Hades to bust loose, fast and hard.
  14. "DOHA, Qatar - More than a dozen rabbis, including two from Israel, were in attendance this week as this conservative Muslim sheikdom opened one of the Gulf's first scholarly centers dedicated to interfaith dialogue. "The rare meeting of Muslim, Christian and Jewish scholars in the heartland of conservative Islam is another sign of Qatar's efforts to present a moderate image as it bids for the 2016 summer Olympic Games. It's also part of a broader push by Arab governments for interfaith dialogue, even though most still do not recognize Israel." Good on them. Anything to bring peace and stablity to the region. If the fundamentalists in all religions and sects could simply embrace TOLERANCE and live and let live, we'd be so much better off.
