  1. Pray that you would always have wisdom when dealing with people. and especially now, with this supervisor of yours. Pray that you would give the appropriate reactions and replies to anything that happens. God bless you in your work. Ning
  2. Keeping you in my prayers too. The joy of the Lord is your strength, Amaan. Looking unto Jesus, the beginning and the finisher of our faith. Focus your eyes on Jesus, behold Him only, accept your pain, accept who you are, do not resist the reality. It may be hard but it's where you begin. I am not saying this without knowing it myself... the past may be bleak, but I looked unto Jesus, and He changed everything. It did not happen overnight though, as I would like it to be. However, I am amazed at how He has fashioned me, and I saw what God has wrought in my life, and I declare, "It's Beautiful". It's not months, but years I spent in waiting. Yet I believe, God can do more... He's not finished with me yet. He can do the same to you. View your relationship with God positively. In time you will also say it to yourself, This is the Lord's doing, it is marvelous in my eyes... You are strong, you can give even if others do not do the same to you. Do not put trust in the flesh, because you have the Great God. You have Jesus. Be encouraged in your Spirit, Amaan. People in this place care a lot. Ning
  3. Q1: Yes, I am happy and joyful because God is there for me. His fellowship is sweet. Q2: I think sometimes, God is not happy with me because I fail Him but I am assured that He still loves me despite that. Though I am really trying to obey but I really slip sometimes...
  4. Jacqueline, I don't see how you become a stumbling block with that situation. I think it's the other way around... God has given you that kind of wisdom, not to be swayed by men, but looking only unto Jesus who is the author and the finisher of our faith... Keep on.
  5. Loveth ye not the prose thereof? Yea, for whosoever loveth not the words as written mayeth seek divers scolls; but remember thou this;there is none like unto the same. Putteth away that which doth cause you pause and embrace thy book; yea, even unto the eating thereof, for it shall be honey to thy mouth and nourishment to thy very soul. Be not sore afraid of the unknown tongue for the song will be heard in thy heart. Actually I love the King James Bible and you're very right about the Song being heard in the heart, Ovedya... it's the Spirit that give light.
  6. Wonderful insight, Lady Raven, thank you for sharing this. I just realized that's the way God deals with us, not brash but gentle. He's a loving Father who sees us with merciful eyes. Having gone thru my "desert" years in my young life, the things you just shared about music, TV and reading materials were just so real with me. That is how God is dealing with me, too. God bless you more, Ning
  7. Wearing skimpy clothing while coming to the office of the pastor for advice, shows disrespect to his position. Women should be careful of showing too much skin, in the way they wear their covering/clothing. God even killed animals so that Eve, all tainted with sin, would be covered. But here we are today, baring everything we can so that people will get to see our nakedness. God wants us to hold our earthly vessels in honor. My idea only.
  8. Hi angelique, The amusements that we engage in are also important if we must live a pure life. They are the expressions of the nature that we have inside. The things we enjoy are the things we treasure... they are things we throw our heart into. And yes, going to a Bible-based church allows your spiritual needs to be fed. Press on toward the mark of the high calling of Jesus Christ. Regardless, I'm praying that God will give you strength and wisdom. Your sister in Christ, Ning
  9. I practically agree with AussieLady. Being entertained with things related to occult opens the mind for the devil to play tricks on us. These shows introduce a kingdom which is not godly. Their episodes portray a human as having no command against the powers of evil, and for the humans to counter them would require some other darker power. Just my idea.
  10. (((hugs))) back to you too, Mikado. God be with you always. He will help, because He said it and that promise is immutable like God. Ning
  11. Hi Mikado, If you have that earnest desire of having a "soul mate", I think God placed it in your heart because He wants you to believe Him for it. Of course, the girl will not come as easily (God wants you to have faith) and maybe, a little later in your life, she'll appear. I'm about the same age as you, and I believe that we all have some personal issues to tackle, especially, five years from now, we're approaching 40. Now, relationships are just the most important thing. Our life is a series of relationships that we build, and it's basically made of those. Never forget to cultivate friendships first... and be positive. Confidence always attracts people, not just in romantic ways... but everywhere, people rally towards those who can inspire them. I hope that you will be free to be who you are, and do yourself a favor, love yourself, accept yourself for the way God made you, flabs and all. You are special. Ning
  12. Floating axe, thanks for reminding us that the Holy Spirit is a gentle spirit... (((hugs))) to you FA!
  13. This deathclock thing is a form of guidance. When we submit ourselves to any other kind of guidance, we usually get off track . We become weak instead of being energized by the Spirit of God because we have succumb to the dictates of dark influences like this deathclock. We need to stay in the light. It makes us feel worthless when we know our time of death. But rejoice, this part of our existence is temporary, the best is yet to come. Meanwhile, get excited with the blessings of God, everyday there are miracles, open your eyes to see the goodness of the Almighty. Being positive is being thankful for everything, including our lack.
  14. Hi again MITL...I don't know if you are the sort of person who actually listens to godly advice and acts on it, or if you are the sort of person who finds it much easier to tell of your problems and remain focused on them to the point of getting thoroughly discouraged... at the moment you certainly seem to be wallowing in self-pity, and the fear of man is winning over the fear of G-d. Can you not see....do you not understand that you have to learn to stand in the face of adversity, even when you may have brought it on yourself...and again what I see from what you have revealed, is that through this 'incident' G-d is able to shake things up in your life and see what you have got in your heart that actually counts as faith towards Him. As others have pointed out, we all go through difficult times, some brought on by our own mistakes and sinfulness, and some just because of the circumstances that operate around our life, and through them all we have the opportunity to learn to call on G-d and draw strength from Him through the Holy Ghost, through the Scriptures, through good friends who care about us. There is no...'What if there is no G-d?'....once you have met with Him, whatever happens you know because you know, because you know, because you know... You know you are a sinner saved by grace through the blood of the Lamb. You know He alone is Almighty G-d and there is no other. You know that Jesus is Messiah and your Saviour and your Redeemer. You are a young man with your whole life stretched out before you...learn to grow in the grace of G-d, and learn to trust Him especially when you are down in the valleys....rise up and learn to fight. i certainly most, agree... botz these words speak to me also.
  15. David, please know that I'm praying for you... hold on brother. There are plenty of people who do care, especially here.
  16. Right. Just think of this, when you decide to do things for Christ, the devil uses an armada of weapons to hinder you to become an effective witness. Sometimes, that includes your own self. You can pray about it, listen to godly songs of comfort, and encourage yourself to be strong. For me, whenever I feel fear, I sing the lines from Isaiah 41: 10 and 13. " Fear thou not, for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness... For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee Fear not; I will help thee." Fear is everywhere, but thank God, we can all claim strength and courage for we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us, lifts us, and allows us to go through the storms of life with gladness.
  17. Beautiful! Did you write that, Ningning? er, no MG. that's a favorite hymn of mine, it has a title "The Love of God", written by Frederick Lehman.
  18. Well, not being one to hold back, I will say this. Bare feet and cut off shorts and sleazy attire do not belong in church. The wisest man ever to walk the Earth knew enough to dress in his very best when he went to the temple. It is a show of respect. If I go to a wedding, I wear a suit. If I were to go to meet the president, I would wear a suit. When I go to someones house in nice clothing, they feel as if I have done something to honor them. I would never go to GOD's house and dress in any other way. That's right Kross, we do wear our best because we love the Lord.
  19. The love of God is greater far Than tongue or pen can ever tell; It goes beyond the highest star, And reaches to the lowest hell..... O love of God, how rich and pure! How measureless and strong!
  20. Angelique, I agree with what MG said. People do not know how to express sympathy, but it doesn't mean that they don't feel for you. It's such a deep emotion, so deep that few can grasp it. Nevertheless, whatever you're going through, I know it's painful. Yet, I will always remember to pray for you. Smile sister...
  21. Hi Keysha, You were asking for the mark of the Beast, which is 666. This is an even that happens within the Tribulation period. I believe that Tribulation happens after the Rapture of the believers. This mark is stated in Revelation 13, which is a mark for all those who follow the Anti-Christ, who is also the Beast (God calls him that, but this is a person). With this number, they can buy/sell, get service or provide their services. Those who will not be marked will be tortured/killed. This knowledge is given in the Bible, but not for us to exactly predict the future. It was given to us so that we may know what is to come-a dreadful time for those who do not believe the Word of God. As a Christian, I think we should not concern ourselves too much on who will be the Anti-Christ/Beast, or 666 because when this happens, we will be with the Lord of Glory... It is enough that we know so that we can warn others. The only big work that we all have to participate in, is to win our loved ones, our friends and our neighbors to the feet of Jesus- which is not a very easy thing to do.
