I simiply stated that if you want to bring up old wounds why not bring up old wounds from both sides.
Because there are no old wounds from both sides. Not by a long shot. The Jewish people did not persecute Jews. They were persecuted by their leaders for accepting Jesus and that for a relatively short period of time when you compare what Christians did to Jews

You have demanded an apology from All Christians even those that had nothing to do with Jews.

Yes, but that is part of the healing process. It is part of the Church swallowing its pride and admitting that what their predecessors did was wrong and affirming that we do not intend and will not allow history to repeat itself. It is a step in establishing dialogue and rebuilding lines of communication that have been severed for centuries.

It is not a case Christians today having to take the blame for what someone else did, but to acknowledge what the Church did was wrong, and to begin the process of reconciliation by rejecting the anti-Semitic teachings of the Church fathers of by-gone eras, as well as rejecting the hate filled teachings of replacement theology and replacing that hate with genuine solidarity against the enemies of the Jews around the world.

Just because some individual or group decides to do something stupid does mean all Christians are guilty of it.
It is not a case of saying all Christians are guilty of it. No one said that all Christians today are guilty of it. But at the same time, Jews were persecuted by the church as whole both the leadership and the laity. It was not just "some individual or group." It was regular church policy to remind the Jews how hated they were.

You stated that you are not much on history, and it shows. If you ever became familiar with the historical record and just how extensive and widespread anti-Semitism was in Europe especially during the Midieval period, you would understand.

As it stands right now, you are not really reading or trying to read or understand what is being said and you are reacting to what you either think we are saying or to the values YOU have assigned to our position.

 Are you carrying old wounds from what the Jews did to any Christians past or present?

You have demanded an apology from All Christians even those that had nothing to do with Jews. What do you tell a new born Christian? Do you demand they go apologize for something that had nothing do with? What do you tell a Korean Christian? Do you demand they apologize to Jews whom they never knew? Do you see how rediculas this blame all Christians thing is. Christianity is not something are we born by flesh into and its not a generational thing passed down from from our fathers. Its an individual choice to follow Christ. Just because some individual or group decides to do something stupid does mean all Christians are guilty of it. Neither do I blame all Jews for persecuting Christians. That would be rediculas because many of them are Christian.

No - but if you ever you find yourself interacting with a Jew, and especially if you are wanting to witness to a Jew, a humble apology in the name of all who were or called themselves Christians to the one you are talking with would be a good idea. There's a better chance of this breaking through their pain and hardness and blindness than anything else.

No I am just making a point. We should all learn to forgive and forget. Yahshua taught us that being persecuted for his name sake is a blessing and not a curse.

If I felt that was an issue that was holding them back from believing, then I would educate them that not everyone who claims to be Christian is. I would show them what God teaches us about what a true Christian is and how it is impossible to be Christian and have hatred and resentment toward others. I would show them how the Church is made up of Jews and Non-Jews and how Christ has reconciled us together as one in him the seed of Abraham.

While you are at it, the next time you witness to a black person, be sure to apologize for your ancestors having slaves. There is a better change of this breaking through their pain, hardness and blindness than anything else.

So, you are asking a non-believer to live like a believer before he becomes one?

How can you witness to an unsaved person, a person without the Spirit of Jesus dwelling inside of them, and expect them to be filled with the kind of love Jesus gives?

Have you ever been hurt by a family member? Have you ever talked with this family member about the hurt he or she caused you?

What kind of response do you want?

Imagine the family member responding by telling you that you are foolish for feeling hurt.

This happened to me time and time again. Instead of reconciling, it left me feeling worthless and walked on.

Do you honestly believe the unsaved Jew will "wake up to reality" that their entire pain is . . . trivial? a misunderstanding? an unfounded prejudice?

Where is your compassion in this dialogue?

Better yet, everybody is a victim of something or someone so lets all get a blame it on the body of Christ mentality.

Yeah - I was thinking about doing that . . . since I discovered I actually had an ancestor who was a slave owner. . . just haven't had an open door to witnessing to a black person. . . .

There's only a need to apologize in the place of another if you know someone has ought against you for an injustice they associate you with.

I heard a testimony of a Native American who unloaded on his white boss all his grievences against "the white man," and he was prepared for the boss to respond the way you have been proposing, Jedi, and he was prepared to fight back against him.

But the boss surprisingly fell to his knees, apologized for the wrongs his people committed against the young man's people and asked for forgiveness.

The Native American was so blown away, hid hard heart melted, and this truly did bring him to a faith in Jesus.

From testimonies like this, this is why I believe as I do.

Christians are the biggest supporters and friends of Jews and their right to the Land of Israel. in fact they maybe the only supporters and friends they have. I don't know what else your wanting Christians to do. Sounds like you want them to have a "foot washing", but the truth is Christians are washing their feet in their support, love, and friendship. Why do you keep slapping them in the face and demanding more. Christians are consistently reaching out to Jews but I don't see any Jews reaching back.

Why does saying, "I'm sorry," threaten you so? :whistling:

I'm not asking you to give up any land, I'm not asking you to cut yourself, I'm not asking you to give up half your paycheck, . . . .

Why is "I'm sorry," so horrible to you?

And why should the unsaved Jews reach back? We're the ones who should be representing Yeshua to them.

And not all Christians are doing as you say.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
