Allegations aside, one point of note is that it is a requirement of Muslim belief that they have space set aside to pray. Because their prayers involve getting down on knees and bowing to Mecca, it's important that there is a private and out-of-the-way place that they can do this. Christians do not require such a space. We simply bow our heads and speak silently to our creator. A specific space is not required, and as such the room set aside for Christians might seem to be seen as favouritism. After all, would they also set aside a special room for Buddhists, Hare Krishnas, Jews, or any other belief? Probably not, and almost definitely those would not be decorated and funded by the lecturer.

I think it was necessary for the institution to give space to the Muslims, because that is an integral part of their religious practice. No such space is necessary for Christians.

However, the allegations made that the Muslim is exaggerating the issue to be about an entire Mosque, these are issues of more pressing concern.

Just my initial impressions of the article :noidea:

The whole mode of operation is cause for concern. The lies about the Mosque (that's not an exaggeration - it's a lie) are just one of the dishonest tactics this trainee doctor utilized.

Regards,

Muslims need more space because they bow and scape to satan; theirs is not an actual religion or faith. It's just a cult and, therefore, should have NO prayer rooms ...... anywhere. In fact, they should be outlawed in the United States. This would make it profitable for Americans to bag them (but not kill them!) and turn them over for a bounty. :24:

perhaps you have not heard these words before...

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Sure I have! Perhaps you have not heard these words before....

"theirs is not an actual religion or faith. It's just a cult".......this negates the requirement, under the Constitution, to grant them the same privileges as, say, Judaism in the U.S. Of course, the article addresses the reality on the ground in Pakistan but I'm looking ahead. :24:

What are you two arguing over?

What do you think of Dr. Naila's actions and methods?

Favoritism is favoritism regardless what ones religion predicates. If accommodations are made for one group then they should also be made for the others should they request them. The article indicates that the mere existence of a room for the Christian students upset Dr Naila so much that she resorted to accusing Mrs Purses of attempts to covert some of the Muslim students. A practice that is illegal in most Muslim countries. It is apparent that Dr Naila disliked Christians and took offense to them being regarded equally to the Muslim students. What I find to be repugnant is that Dr Naila proceeded to try and convert the Christian students after accusing Mrs Purses of doing the same thing. It's okay for Muslims to convert Christians but heads will roll should anyone try to convert a Muslim.

I believe Mrs Purses did what she thought was fair, equitable and honorable. There, unfortunately, is no religious equality in countries with a Muslim majority and so her attempt to find a solution will end with the Muslim students being shown favoritism to the other students.

re-li-gion Pronunciation [ri-lij-uhn]

-noun

1. a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.

2. a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects: the Christian religion; the Buddhist religion.

Yes, they are an actual religion. The fact that you don't agree with their beliefs does not change that.

I have had discussions with people that tell me that Christianity is just a cult of Judaism. They are as wrong as you are in this case.

Islam is a cult; islam is a political movement; islam is not a religion since the main object of 'worship' (or terror) is 'allah', a nonexistent and mythical moon god, a.k.a., Ba'al or Be'liel (consort of Ashtar/Astarte). I am correct in my assessment of islam and have studied the movement for over five years. How much time have you put into the Qu'ran, RG?

[They are dishonest and wrong, but not really a surprise.

Remember Pakistan is a strongly Muslim country and I am surprised the Christians got as much support as they did

Honestly I think it was a mistake for Mrs Purses to have the Muslim room closed down the way she did. They didn

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
