Christianity is a personal relationship between a person and God. A relationship where one can be real, who they are and God can work with them because of this. Religion, in it's definition, is actually binding by a set of rules. One where you have to do this or do that in order to be good enough. Can you please tell me when, where and how he denied the two doctrinal principles you state? You said Christianity is not "religion", but your definitions states otherwise -

A Christian is a person who adheres to Christianity, a monotheistic religion. What did you mean by it not being a religion? For me it's a way of my life, is that what you are saying? Thanks.

Religion is man's interpretation of something. Christianity, as such, is not simply a "religion" as the world likes to classify it. Christianity is the only way to be reconciled with God through the blood of, and a belief in Jesus Christ as our Savior. What I am saying is that even according to the world's (secular) standards, Obama does not really pass a basic test as to who is a "christian."

Since Obama does not adhere to these tenents, i.e. he does not believe that Jesus is the only way to salvation, ( that is one of Christ's teachings) and he does not believe scripture to be inerrant, (that is another of Christ's teachings) he fails even the secular world's test in that respect.

I had not heard him say these things - do you have a link or a magazine article or interview where he said this? I am not saying he didn't - I just never heard it said. Blessings.

Cathleen Falsani, the author used her words to interpret what he supposedly said, though. I'm confused why she didn't quote him directly. This particular piece is her saying what she says he said. Joseph Farah, whose column is called "Between the Lines" and it sounds like he's reading between them maybe, quotes the first author's interview in 2004. I have to wonder about the veracity of the initial interview which depends on her retelling what she says he said. I am not saying she telling a lie or it's not true - but I've not heard this and I would love to hear from his mouth to my ears.... Thanks for the information.

Sadly, there are a lot of "Christians" who believe that all you need to get to heaven is to be good and to do good things. In fact, I heard a sermon a few weeks ago and the minister in the pulpit said basically that and the congregation was nodding in agreement.
