Your statement is a figment in the imaginations of evolutionists. Unfortunately it appears to have become a dogma that many who should know better are entertaining, including yourself.

hmmm....well there was no reason to get ugly about it.

I have never been a believer in evolution. Even when I was an atheist, aliens from outer-space populating the planet made more sense than evolution because if you throw a fish on the land every day for 3 billion years, all you're going to have is a lot of dead fish.

That said, a hominid is not necessarily a son of Adam. And it doesn't threaten my faith in the least to say that no one knows what happened in Creation because we weren't there. The biblical narrative isn't supposed to be a scientific account but rather a summary of the sequence.

But please...if you're going to address (or insult) me again...answer the simple question I posed first. I'll repeat it again to make sure you know how to find it.

What is the difference between the children of Adam and every other creature on this planet?

or more specifically, What is it about us that is made in the image of God?

Georgia fossil suggests key stage of human evolution was in Europe

A key stage in human evolution may have taken place on the fringes of Europe and not in Africa as has generally been thought, scientists said yesterday.

Fossils of an ancient human relative, or hominin, from Georgia dated from 1.8 million years ago suggest that the first of our ancestors to walk upright could have done so in Eurasia, the British Science Festival was told.

An interesting article, thanks nebula. Beyond the initial findings this illustrates how all scientific conclusions are, ultimately, open-ended. A great quote from the article that illustrates this was,

"This looked quite stupid a few years ago, and if you asked the question people thought you were a little provocative.

"Today it seems not so stupid. There is a possibility Homo erectus originated in Eurasia and it's not impossible to think they spread back to Africa."

It never ceases to amaze me how people can continually claim that scientists ignore evidence in the face of instances like this where scientists radically revise their theories in light of new evidence. That's how science works, if you want to revise it you need evidence.

Yet God never changes nor does He "revise" His creation truth.
