google it. find the reports yourself. you don't believe a word i'm saying and you won't believe anything i point you too because you are blinded by prejudice. go find it on your own, but until then, please quit attacking me for being the ONLY person besides axxman who is willing to dig a little deeper into the truth.

and by the way, for those who want to come back and say i'm avoiding the issue, i've posted some links over the months, including at least one in one of these two current threads.

jen, i have known you forever, and consider you a dear friend. but you're exasperating me. the very fact that they support her becoming a cheerleader is an example of their permissiveness. and when i say permissive, i am talking about by muslim standards, not american.

You know that they supported her cheerleading? Where do you get all of this info. ? Fox news and CNN are really holding out here.

I consider you a dear friend too,but you are exasperting me too!!!

now if you want to discuss this any further with me, then go do your homework. i will not continue to talk to you about it until you are willing to look at the documented FACTS. i know i've never gotten mad at you before, but i'm mad now jen, because i've never seen you so adamently and emotionally put blinders on.

I honestly don't have time to go searching all of the Internet sites out there with varying stories and accounts. You're going to get those who support her and those who support her parents. As a Christian, I just choose to believe her testimony, over the testimony of Muslims who are allowed to lie.

Even if she did't hitchhike - I keep hearing she did, why go so many states away to stay away from your parents? Do you believe honor killings happen? Do you think her parents were just giving her lectures? No physical blows?

jen, what makes me so angry is that you are a personal friend of mine and i've always known you to be objective, which is a far cry from what you're doing now.

i have posted links. i even posted one here in the last hour to a letter written by a CHRISTIAN ATTORNEY who was appointed to the case. i choose to take his word over that of a teenage runaway. find it, read it. that's an eye opener. as for the rest of the stuff, google is a wonderful thing. i found it, you can find it. try including investigation or investigative reports in your search.

how do i know they supported her cheerleading? because here in the US, a parent has to consent to their child being a cheerleader, and has to pay through the nose for the privilege of having their child on the squad. i don't know what it's like in canada, but it's a huge deal to be a cheerleader here, and you don't get to be one without parental support. not to mention, as i stated above, according to one report i read, the investigators who went to her parent's house reported seeing framed photos of rifqa in her cheerleading outfit in the living room. doesn't sound like a parent who is ashamed of their daughter, does it?

i'm beginning to think you haven't read a single word i've said, actually. i have stated MULTIPLE TIMES that i am fully aware that honour killings happen, and that they even happen here in america. but i'd go to my grave right now defending this family because i don't believe they have any intention of murdering their daughter. and even if they did, they'd never do it now that the world is watching.

why did she go so many states away when she ran away? because someone that far away BOUGHT HER A BUS PASS! someone she didn't even know, someone she knew ONLY thru facebook. she's a christian, they're a christian. personally i suspect that when it all comes out in the wash, we'll probably find out that they were convincing her that she was in danger. i don't know if they are predators, or if their motives and intentions were just misplaced because of their own bigotry, and yes, i'm using that word, bigotry. but whatever their motives, they were inappropriate.

and yes, i believe there were NEVER any physical blows. in fact, according to one report, rifqa herself has never stated that she'd been physically abused, although she feared for her life when her dad threatened to throw her laptop across the room.

gosh jen, do you really think i've just been making all this up because i hate teenagers or something?

by the way, i forgot to include this tidbit, yes, she claims she hitchhiked. but they have since learned otherwise, and the person who took her to the bus station has confessed to having done so.

I for one have not avoided this issue. I posted numerous comments with links in another thread that show the other side of political correct media propaganda. And yes, I too would like to see any links to back up anything you have said. That's only fair. If you want to know the other side of the story, told by Rifqa's best friend and a pastor in Ohio, Brian Williams, who assisted Rifqa to the bus station so she could leave out of absolute fear for her life, below is the link from the blogger who did a personal interview with the entire interview with Rifqa's best friend whom Rifqa confided in, and who baptized Rifqa. There's much more to this story than you can shake a stick at, so be sure to take 10 minutes of your time to read it.

I suppose he is lying too, though?

One more thing I would like to know. Rifqa Bary's parents have been requested by Judge Dawson at least three times to produce to citizenship status, and have not complied. Why not?

As a Christian, I just choose to believe her testimony, over the testimony of Muslims who are allowed to lie.

While the lawyer's statement if thought provoking, I am definitely not convinced yet. Becoming a cheerleader is far different than becoming a Christian. Becoming a Christian or a Jew is probably the worst thing a Muslim can possibly ever do.

I would also find it hard to believe a friend on Facebook can convince a teen her life is in danger when she is not even being hit (or supposedly not even being hit).

I would really like to know what to google in order to find the court documents. Right now I'm tired and in need of sleep though. Hopefully I can find it tomorrow, but I would appreciate some hints as to how to find the actual court docs. Good night.

rebel, just because some other family in michigan did it, or just because five thousand cases of honour killings have happened in america over the years, or just because it is regularly practiced in muslim countries, does not mean that the bary family is going to do it to rifqa.

the family in michigan, were they under a public microscope? i doubt it. that should allay the fears of even the most ardent defenders of rifqa bary.

was the family in michigan, were they adhering to the muslim lifestyle? because apparently this family was not. cheerleading, parties, those are not the kind of extracurricular activities that strict muslim families let their children get away with, ya know?

the court documents have apparently been sealed but you can still find the articles from the newspapers i suggested that reported from the hearing and upon the judge's ruling that no credible threat was found. i don't know how many more suggestions i can give you besides court ruling and fdle and credible threat and police reports, which are what i found all the information with, some today, some weeks and weeks ago that are no longer available. i suppose the only way you'll be happy is if i go back and find all the links again and post them for you? but alas, i'm not gonna do that. if i could find them using google, you can too, and you won't trust any source i give you anyway, you already doubt the word of a christian adult who has worked the case. his word is, in your eyes, less credible than a teenage girl.

(you seriously don't think a 17 year old girl can be persuaded to believe stuff by strangers online? i'm truly amazed by that.)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
