The Utube video entitled "Rifqa Bary Exclusive Report" a former Muslim turned Christian friend says Rifqa complained of being afraid of her parents long ago. The 'kidnappers' from Florida who turned her over the CPS seem genuine. And Rifqa's lawyer says Rifqa keeps telling him it's not about her and that she hopes her testimony can be used to help thousands of other young muslim girls.

There is also a testimony called "Rifqa Bary's Testimony Before the summer of 2009" wherein she discusses fear of her parents. This was apparantly shot by an Ohio pastor in May.

Because the cops say they found nothing doesn't mean nothing occurred.

The cops had "mountains of evidence" but botched it.

Renowned expert on islam and writer, Robert Spencer has been tracking this case from its inception has posted on his web site:

Florida Keystone Kops ignore mountains of evidence, then find "no credible proof" that ex-Muslim teen

Here are accounts from Rifqa's friends Jamal Jivanjee and Brian Williams -- both of which differ significantly from the FDLE's findings.

"FDLE report on ex-Muslim runaway teen criticized: Report finds no 'credible' proof Rifqa Bary's life is endangered," by James A. Smith Sr. for Florida Baptist Witness, September 15:

ORLANDO (FBW) - A Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigation has found no "credible" evidence that Christian convert Rifqa Bary is endangered by her Muslim parents she fled in July in fear of her life.

Supporters of the Ohio teen, however, called the FDLE report a "travesty of justice," and one Islam expert criticized the report as "political correctness" that will endanger the girl's life.

The FDLE report, which was unsealed Sept. 14 by Judge Daniel Dawson of Orange County's Ninth Judicial Circuit Court, summarizes the department's investigation of Rifqa Bary's claims that her father, Mohamed Bary, threatened her life in June after learning of her conversion to Christianity....

According to the FDLE report, on Aug. 24 Rifqa told FDLE investigators that she was fearful for her life because of the Islamic teaching she understood to require death for Muslims who convert to Christianity.

FDLE investigators interviewed Rifqa's parents at their Westerville, Ohio, home on Aug. 27. Her father denied ever striking and threatening Rifqa, although he admitted during his confrontation with his daughter about her conversion that he grabbed the lap top computer and intended to throw it, but decided against doing so because of its expense.

Brian Williams, a 21-year-old friend of Rifqa, contacted FDLE on Aug. 28, noting that he filed a report with the Columbus Police Department that she had told him about her father's threat and her mother finding Christian materials in July. Williams also told FDLE he baptized Rifqa in June. He also said he drove Rifqa from a friend's house to the bus station when she decided to flee.

I am beginning to wonder, if there had been thoughts to kill Rifqa before, if she is returned home now, will she be allowed to live? I only wonder because this story has now become headline news and the world is watching. Thus far, the honor killings in the USA and Canada have pretty much gone under the radar, much to the advantage of the Muslim reputation. Will the religious Muslims want America to know their true stance and still call for the death of this girl, knowing it will be a headline? :noidea: Or will they let her live and make her out to be a lying, manipulative teenager or a brainwashed teenager?

she's a teenager morning glory. they blow things out of proportion. she's probably afraid they'll kill her for having told all these silly lies about her family to justify her running away in the first place. yes, she's a christian. but she's a CHILD!

:noidea: So you do believe she is lying.

"I love Jesus so much I'm going to lie to the world that my parents want to kill me."

Oh yeah, that makes sense!

But you forget she told others she was afraid she'd be killed before she ran away. So her whole basis for running away, by your view, is a lie. So why did she lie?

"Because she's a child?"

Argh!

Look, not all teenagers are like yours. I wasn't like that. I have many friends who weren't like that. In fact, most people I know weren't like that.

Kids say bad things about their parents often, but we never lied about abuse or murder. NEVER!

Really, I like you LadyC. But this accusation you are making against Rifqa based on - what? - your experience with your own children (?) makes me feel very angry. As I mentioned before, I had a parent pre-judge me as rebellious and treated me as such, and it hurt like the dickens.

based on the fact that according to investigative reports, based on what we know has been presented IN COURT, based in part on what has been said by the christian attorney who was at one point involved with the case, rifqa has already been caught in multiple lies. i have already made that clear. i like you, too, nebula, and it ticks me off that you're accusing me of basing this on my own children. i'm NOT, nor have i even implied that. i'm basing it on what has come out in COURT.

i've also said i don't know what her motives are. i've stated many times in discussing this over the last couple of months in various threads that i believe she is a VICTIM. not of her family as much as by other people, who may have had good intentions, and that this thing has become bigger than life and it keeps snowballing.

stone me if you want nebula, jen, and others on here. but i'm voicing my opinion based on facts and you're all jumping all over me like i've committed some perverse crime.

let me be really, really clear on what my opinion is.

THE FLORIDA COURT HAS MADE THE RIGHT CALL, SHE SHOULD BE RETURNED TO OHIO WHERE THE COURTS THERE SHOULD BE HANDLING IT.

now, if you don't like me anymore because of that, i really don't care. if her parents ever actually do kill her, i'll step up to the plate and admit i'm wrong. but i'd be willing to bet my last penny that not one of you will ever, EVER mention it again if she goes back and is never harmed.

not that i suspect anyone cares much, but i'm gonna take a break from worthy right now. the fact that someone made this personal by bringing MY kids into it in one of those posts, and i don't even know for sure who it was, but that has infuriated me to the point that my entire body is shaking right now, and i'm jonesing for a cigarette in a worst way than i've craved in the last three months. this discussion has become a stumbling block for me, and i gotta get away, because if i don't, i'll keep tripping over it.

I was recalling an earlier post:

...but ya know, i remember being a teenager, and i remember raising teen daughters, and i know all too well how any little thing can become magnified in the mind of a young girl, making them think that the only option is to run for their life.

So I apologize if I've somehow misinterpreted that you are viewing Rifqa's situation through the eyes of your own, but you need to explain how this is not what you meant?

now, if you don't like me anymore because of that, i really don't care. if her parents ever actually do kill her, i'll step up to the plate and admit i'm wrong. but i'd be willing to bet my last penny that not one of you will ever, EVER mention it again if she goes back and is never harmed.

Unfortunately, there's too many dynamics involved - will she and her family be watched like hawks, thus making an honor-killing impossible to perform? Then when she turns 18 and is free to go wherever she can, moves away, and nothing is ever spoken about her, how can we know there was never nothing to worry about? I mean, Rifqa being found dead would make the news; nothing happening to her won't. Unless sufficient evidence is presented to prove her life was never in danger it will be hard to determine we were wrong.

Nebula did not make this a personal issue. She was using your kids and others as an example to show that not all kids are alike to make her point. We do it all the time. Chill out. :noidea:

blessings,

no one wants to see a child hurt by their parents or a child manipulated to bring false charges against their parents. :noidea:

i would suggest that all pray for the Lord's will to be done for both the child and her parents and pray that the Lord's love can agree to disagree in this discussion and to not take things personally.

praying here that those who have offended or been offended will let the Lord refresh them in His love for each other.

you are all wonderful brothers and sisters in Christ  do not let the enemy get a foothold.

love your sister in Christ,

Rebekah David

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
