No, no playing favorites. I'm trying to keep this thread from being closed and yes, I meant Shiloh too. And myself; I've been known to throw grenades and then laugh at the resulting chaos. It's not the mature, Christian way to behave though and I'm trying to stop doing it. These things are usually the result of one's being passionate about their point of view, not a character flaw.

Someone once wrote a book on how to lie with statistics; it really IS possible to state ANYTHING and back it up with data from somewhere.

You say design implies a designer. So, if that's true, I CAN'T believe in a designer. Evolution through natural selection, which is hit or miss, except for reproduction, which makes it seem driven toward some end. And are humans the end. What a dreadful thought! (And, what a terrible design).

In your worldview then is it *impossible* to infer via observation and logic the existence of a supernatural Designer who exists outside of nature and who designed the universe? Does all knowledge come from science (scientism) or are there other avenues of knowledge?

Did the universe come from nothing? Well, you believe God is eternal. Maybe I believe matter is eternal (actually, I believe something a lot more complicated, but it would have to be another thread - maybe when Shilo gets this one closed down, I can open up one on this subject, but it's a bit weird, because it's extreme physics and it's really out there!)

So, approximately speaking, design in nature is a misnomer. There IS no design in nature. Or, it is an illusion. Take your pick.
