ok were do I start. I know about heaven and hell. That when we are saved we go to heaven. But to me it seems so final, not being with my loved ones here on earth. I know that we can be in the glory of Jesus. But it still scares me alot. I know I'm saved and belive in Jesus and will go to heaven, but I'm still scared to pass on to a higher place.

Thanks

In God's name

Greetings Annabelle,

Jesus personally tells us that if we love ANYONE more than Him, then we are not worthy to receive what He has for us. This is what you are saying, that you love your family/friends MORE than Jesus.

It might help to know that Jesus loves you more than you can possibly understand and that "through Him", you will be a blessing and perhaps a tool He can use to see that you spend eternity with those same loved ones IN HEAVEN. It takes sacrifice on your part because you MUST pick up your cross and follow HIM! But you will be rewarded immensely if you do. You can save neither yourself OR your loved ones, if you DON'T follow Him and ONLY Him.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

It is a little scary sometimes. We don't really know what to expect. That is where faith comes in. I know that Jesus would do nothing to hurt me or cause me sadness. We have to recognize that fear is from the enemy and the devil can use that fear to make us doubt. When you start to think about being scared you start reading the Word and God's promises.

John 14:1-4 says:

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

As far as the loved ones still on earth, I don't see where we will experience sadness. It is hard to figure some things out. We must trust in God and His Word.

1 Corinthians 13:12 says:

Now we see things imperfectly as in a poor mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God knows me now.

When we see Jesus face to face, nothing else will matter. We have no idea what awaits us. We are looking at things from a fleshly, earthly existence. I used to be afraid of dying and the unknown and leaving my family behind, but I have really sought God and the more I get closer to Him the more I am willing to leave everything behind. Sure, I am sad that my family would be mourning, but I gotta go to my Saviour.

Bottom line, don't be scared, trust God. He loves you and He will be by your side no matter what. His Word says "I will never leave you nor forsake you"

It also says in Romans 8:38 "And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can't, and life can't. The angels can't, and the demons can't. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell can't keep God's love away."

BTW- If your loved ones are saved, you will see them again. Your seperation will not be final. My brother-in-law is up there right now and I know I will see him again. :)

That's right.

Jesus Hold My Hand

As I travel through this pilgrim land

There is a friend who walks with me

Leads me safely through the sinking sand

It is the Christ of Calvary

This would be my prayer dear Lord each day

To help me do the best I can

For I need Thy Light to guide me day and night

Blessed Jesus, hold my hand

Hi Dad

I don't know if I love him more, very good question. I have a beautiful husband and daughter. How would I know if I love him more than them? I'm not trying to be a smart alleck, just curious. Would I die in the name of Jesus, would I rather die confessing my Love for him or continue to live in this world? I think of the Colonbine situation alot, how those teenagers died because they believe in Jesus. Touch question. I really don't know what I would do, any suggestions about how I feel? thanks

God Bless

Annabelle try reading the Scriptures a lot and allowing the Holy Spirit who is called the Comforter/Intercessor/Consoler/Advocate to encourage your heart and place faith in you that you might see and understand the Christians hope.

Death will come to us all one way or another, but because we have trusted in the L-rd Jesus we do not have to fear our departure from this earth...even if it involves degrees of suffering..because in the end we will inherit eternal life and dwell with G-d the Angels and those that have trusted in Jesus for ever and ever...for the reality of this to grow in our hearts we need to encourage ourselves always in the word of G-d, sound teaching and the love of one another.

Rom 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Rom 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Rev 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Rev 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

Rev 21:6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

Rev 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

We have such a glorious destiny that is pretty inconceivable in many ways...but in the meantime lets get on with making sure we take as many people with us as we possibly can by preaching the Good News of Jesus Christ...and giving hope and comfort when the world can offer nothing of any lasting substance.

He is there, but not just there with you. He is in you. I think the way to feel closer to Him is to think about Him all the time or every bit possible. He is with every thought you have, day and night. Everything in our lives begins with Him, is accomplished through Him and ends in Him.

If there is a way to get closer to Him than knowing that in your heart at all times, I don't know what it is.

Joh 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Joh 15:8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

Joh 15:9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

Joh 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

Greetings Annabelle,

I don't know if I love him more, very good question. I have a beautiful husband and daughter. How would I know if I love him more than them? I'm not trying to be a smart alleck, just curious. Would I die in the name of Jesus, would I rather die confessing my Love for him or continue to live in this world? I think of the Colonbine situation alot, how those teenagers died because they believe in Jesus. Touch question. I really don't know what I would do, any suggestions about how I feel?

I know precisely how you feel. I have 6 children and 15 grandchildren, one of whom lives a few blocks from me. The rest live many miles away. So my granddaughter who lives near me has become most precious to me. I spend a lot of time with her. I can honestly say that I have never loved anyone on this earth as much as I love that little girl. On occasion I have wondered what I would do if something happened to her. I would likely weep incessantly for weeks or months and after that I would just plain hurt and want to die myself. But one thing I am reminded of, God loves her even more than I do and for certain she would be in a much better place than she is right now.

So understanding that, I would weep and sob and fast before the Lord until He gave me the comfort I needed to continue on, until He has finished the work in me that He has begun.

OTOH, if I were taken from this earth, even now, I would rejoice, even as Paul, for he says:

2 Cor 5:1-9 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: 3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. 4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. 5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. 6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight) 8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

I know that I shall be "like Him" and shall Know Him, even as I am now known. There shall be no tears or heartache when we get there. I trust in that, otherwise I would ache terrible for those I left behind, especially my granddaughter.

We have to understand:

Isaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

I don't know if you "tithe", or "give love offerings", but I have found that by giving I HAVE MORE, but NOT giving, I lose what little I have. This certainly is not according to man's way of thinking, but it is a "spiritual principle" which God created that if we OBEY, we shall be blessed.

So it is, that WHEN He COMES FIRST, then we are lifted up and all those near us are lifted up as well. It is contrary to the way "natural man" thinks. That is why we MUST "live by faith and NOT by sight".

I hope this helps you to release your family and loved ones to the ONLY hands that will love and care for them MORE than even you do.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
