you have to explain how the full system got there.

Right - which is what I never understood from evolutionists' explanations.

Although humor from any direction is often a good way to lighten moods, it becomes a distraction when threads start out with people antagonizing each other from the start. We'll leave this thread open for now but please, if you would like to discuss such topics, refrain from personal jabs that steer the discussion toward a direction it cannot recover from. :24:

Sorry ted, I was feeling a little squirrelly when I wrote it (bad hair day), and I did not intend a personal jab at anyone in particular. But your point is well taken and I must confess I thought it might start something, sort of like evolve into something you know?

Well, actually what they do is find one trait and explain how they see a simple version in this life form and a bit more complex version in this bit more complex lifeform and so on.

But they don't know how to tie in the whole together. Between the two organisms were a lot more than one trait being mutated, and each mutation had to benefit the organism. Yet in the slightly more complex organism, it requires the slightly more complicated trait in order to survive. So how many mutations occured between organism A and organism B, each mutation benefiting the creatures and outcompeting the ones without each mutated trait?

but how did that first trait get there? when going from a one cell organism to something with traits, you have to have some way for the traits to have gotten there. But the Darwinist jump way into the future to where things are already very well formed and full of traits, without telling us how they got them in the first place

I see what you were thinking of now.

Good point!

To be fair to that side, most Darwinists do project that they understand little of how things were at the time of birth for all living things, usually in the form of "Evolution doesn't explain how things began, but how things have developed and adapted over time" or with some variation of the statement. In other words, they usually ascribe to the study of adaptation and development in species, rather than the actual origin. There's simply not enough data collected to confirm the theories dealing with Abiogenesis (as well with evolution, in my humble opinion). Evolution and abiogenesis are simply two completely different areas of study, and you will see evolutionists make clear distinctions between the two for the most part.

The trouble, as in many areas of study out there, comes when people toss in subjective ideas which cannot be immediately proven false as fact, rather than leaving it up to interpretation. However, I've noticed that this phenomena usually isn't the fault of the ones who discover such things, but more so the media surrounding them. Just as the media is prone to do in most other areas of interest, they will take a piece of information that is delicious and spread it out to the masses. Soon, the "if's" and "could be's" and "maybe's" morph into "truth" and a new controversial argument is born.

Of course, we do find that many followers of evolution also have interest in abiogenesis, and spend their lives attempting to link the two. What is absent seems to be the Great Missing Link. Easily understood, when put in the context of some Christians who are in search of things like the Ark of the Covenant or the Holy Grail. All of it always seems to be just out of our reach.....

The concept is simple though: Find that one piece of evidence that will erase all doubt and we can sit back and feel secure that everything we have believed in is now unquestionably real. Personally, all that was settled years ago when I accepted Jesus as my Savior. However, I do still have a great interest as to how all of this ties together. I want to understand just how God created all of this we see and live with, both in natural and supernatural terms. I feel one day we will come to a complete knowledge of it all, but until that day, we will never trully understand it. It is interesting to see where our discoveries take us though

But don't jump on me lol. I'm only relating what I've observed.

Peace,

t.

Edit: The one thing I find most distressing is the hostility between the different camps. I simply don't understand how people cannot sit down and discuss such things with out the immediate reactions to deride people with opposing views. We see it every day even here at Worthy. Some people just cannot respond without first attempting to insult another in their posts. Is it truly beyond comprehension that we can talk about such things, present our sides, and have healthy discussions without reverting to damaging one's character during the process? Color me stupid, but I think it's entirely possible that people can, in fact, do it.

We just have to try

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
