Well, I have a totally different opinion. The "antichrist" is "spirit". It will not be a specific person, but all the bad characters of Revelation are OF the antichrist "spirit".

I hardly think this could be possible since the Bible says that the anti-christ is one who denies the Father and the Son.

I hardly think this could be possible since the Bible says that the anti-christ is one who denies the Father and the Son.

Serving Him, I'm not saying that the Pope will be the AC as I don't think this is possible for a few reasons, but one could certainly "proclaim" God and still deny Him.

Tit 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Just because someone says "I know Him" doesn't mean they indeed do or that they don't deny Him in other ways. The Pope has already made statements to the effect that Christ isn't the only way to God. This, to me, indicates a denial of Christ.

I do think it possible that a Pope could be a candidate for the role of false prophet.

There is even a big move right now in the RCC regarding some stances that John Paul has taken. Some of the more conservative and traditional catholics are at odds with what to do about his strayings.

This last video is shocking, although I don't agree that what the Pope took is "the mark of the beast." However, this doctrinal persuasion in no way distorts the clear evidence in this video.

BTW, Texe Marrs allows the copying and distributing of his documentaries free of charge. This serves to eliminate the "love of money" accusation that people like to put out.

Regarding the disunity in the "protestant circles." You are correct. But, roman catholicism stands apart in that they have set up a hierarchy over the laity (Nicolaity) in that the Pope "rules" over the RCC. There is no such allegiance required in the church except to Jesus Christ Who is the Head of the Church.

The Pope won't be the Anti-christ but, rather the False Prophet that will work with the Anti-Christ.

Just for historical record, you will find the a pope has always stood beside the top world leaders. Always, without exception.

There is other proof but that is some common sense proff that you do not have to do much digging to figure out.
