That's why this happened" that's dumb. the devil doesn't cause earthquakes, But im sure there are a line of people that believe the devil causes all natural disasters. Makes Christians look hateful and better than others. edit: i dont want to make this a bash P. Robertson thread. However, this isnt the first time he's made statements like this. I think it might be time to send grampa pat to the home.

On the reverse side, he also uses their faith as the reason why good things happen. This is what he believes.

I do wish Pat Robertson would just shut up. Better to be quiet on something like this - so devastating, than to say something stupid and cruel. The earth is cursed, This we know, but what nation is blameless before God? Christians will lead the way in the rescue and rehab of Haiti, why not focus on that instead of making us smell bad. But when you make statements like this AFTER a catastrophe this huge makes him (and Christians) seem like buttheads.

Matthew 18:15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. Why say anything? The people in Haiti are in desperate straits and condemnation is, like you say, stupid and cruel. God knows the score; we are just to try to help them. I hope some of the hundreds of millions of dollars the 700 Club takes in will go to the Haitians.
