Bad Weather Caused By Demons

In a recent thread about Pat Robertson and what's going on in haiti, the author of that thread made a comment "that's dumb. the devil doesn't cause earthquakes." But the truth is, demons(doing their bidding for Satan) "DO" cause earthquakes and other disasters. Jesus said in John10:10 that the theif(refering to Satan) comes to steal, kill and destroy. These disasters really kill many, they destroy massively and cause a severe loss of finances to people.

In the book of Job, we all know that it was Satan who attacked Job and not God(Job1:10-12). In vs. 19 it mentions that a "GREAT WHIRLWIND" came about and killed his children. We know that Satan was the result of this attack on Job, and the whirlwind was just a method that Satan used.

In Acts27:14, it mentions that Euroclydon the temptuous wind came about Paul at sea. Hurricane means god of evil. Thor(norse mythology) means god of thunder. The rock band Kiss has a song about that. Ledzeppelin made mentions of the winds of Thor in a song called "No Quarter."

As for demons causing natural disasters, that's really superstition not supported or taught in the Bible. The earth is the Lord's and fullness thereof, and they that dwell within it.

Deueteronomy18:10-12 talks about GOD "HATES" WITCHCRAFT.vs.12 mentions that those who practice these things are an abomination unto God.

Job never practiced witchcraft. God allowed Satan to curse him for the sake of proving his righteousness. That's nothing like you're describing. Again, the bile never teaches that demons have control over the weather or can cause natural calamities. The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof, and all those that dwell within it. that's Scripture too.

So you believe in Norse mythology? I don't. Because they had a name for different 'gods' who created different kinds of bad weather.

Right. God allows it. Therefore it's His to control. You've disproved your own point that bad weather is "caused by demons."

this reminds me of another debate that went on not long ago.... when God allows evil to happen, does that mean God caused it to happen?

the answer is no. God allows things that He does not cause.

did God cause the whirlwind that killed job's kids? no. did he allow it? yes. was it just coincidence that it happened? probably not. i don't know that scripture says satan caused the whirlwind, but it does kinda leave that impression.
