It would be good to organise an hour where we can all meet up. If you want to be involved, please leave a few suggestions for the time to hold this prayer meeting (in New York time, to save confusion :whistling:). I'll start the ball rolling by suggesting 3pm or 6pm New York Time...

I'll be praying here in South Africa at home. Bcuz 3pm in NY is 9pm in SA.

A reminder to remember the National Day Of Prayer on May 6th. A judge in Wisconsin has ruled it to be unconstitutional and our President has decided not to celebrate it at the White House this year. If we just sit back and do nothing we could loose this special tribute to the Lord just as we lost Bibles in schools. Yes, our prayer closet it the most powerful place on earth, but the National Day of Prayer was given to us as a day to stand together as one. This is a Christian nation that embraces people of all nations. Lets pray we can keep it as such. ---Student of The Word

Had a wonderful day of prayer in downtown Pittsburgh today.

The most powerful prayers came from a man representing the Mayor's office. Wow.

And another woman representing local government said something very poignant.

Psalm 127

1 Unless the LORD builds the house,

its builders labor in vain.

Unless the LORD watches over the city,

the watchmen stand guard in vain.

Our nation's laws were built on a christian foundation no matter how much the media and intellectual elites try to rewrite the history. As long as a house had a good foundation, people can build on it. If that building becomes rotten, you can tear it down and rebuild on a good foundation.

America has a good foundation in the Lord. Though the house being built on this foundation at this time is rotten wood, hay, and stubble, we can always rebuild if enough laborers will let the Lord direct it.

So the question is only whether there are enough of us willing to be salt & light today. Whether we, as a nation of His people, will seek Him. It is discouraging to me that hundreds of thousands, even millions, will show up for a political rally but few show up for a prayer meeting.

If that doesn't change, this house is going to fall. Maybe, just maybe, America is exactly where we need to be with all the disasters and catastrophes occurring...and with our money/stocks failing too.

Thank you Lord for stripping away our temporal riches! May it cause us to see what is really important and seek Your face instead.

Reminds me of Samuel's warning to the Israelites as they began their time with Saul as King.

1 Sam 12 (NIV)

12 "But when you saw that Nahash king of the Ammonites was moving against you, you said to me, 'No, we want a king to rule over us'-even though the LORD your God was your king. 13 Now here is the king you have chosen, the one you asked for; see, the LORD has set a king over you. 14 If you fear the LORD and serve and obey him and do not rebel against his commands, and if both you and the king who reigns over you follow the LORD your God-good! 15 But if you do not obey the LORD, and if you rebel against his commands, his hand will be against you, as it was against your fathers.

...

20 "Do not be afraid," Samuel replied. "You have done all this evil; yet do not turn away from the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart. 21 Do not turn away after useless idols. They can do you no good, nor can they rescue you, because they are useless. 22 For the sake of his great name the LORD will not reject his people, because the LORD was pleased to make you his own. 23 As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the LORD by failing to pray for you. And I will teach you the way that is good and right. 24 But be sure to fear the LORD and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you. 25 Yet if you persist in doing evil, both you and your king will be swept away."

I think on a national level (my country included too!) we have turned to idols, we have served a king, but the wrong one! The solution is not to run from the Lord but to Him. He is faithful and can heal our lands, but we need to serve Him and only Him, and not persist in evil.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
