In Eden Adam and Eve had free access to every tree bar one.One of these trees was the Tree of Life.

Gen 2:9 LITV

(9) And out of the ground Jehovah God made to spring up every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food. The Tree of Life was also in the middle of the garden; also the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

When God banished them from the garden He placed guards to prevent Adam and Eve from accessing this tree lest they live forever .

Gen 3:22-24 LITV

(22) And Jehovah God said, Behold! The man has become as one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put forth his hand and also take from the Tree of Life, and eat, and live forever,

(23) Jehovah God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground out of which he was taken.

(24) And He drove the man out. And He lodged the cherubs at the east of the Garden of Eden, and the flaming sword whirling around to guard the way of the Tree of Life.

So eating from the Tree of Life somehow gave man the ability to live forever.Sustained him.

In the world to come God will dwell with man and the Tree('s) of Life will be accessible again.

Rev 2:7 LITV

(7) The one who has an ear, hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. To the one overcoming, I will give to him to eat of the Tree of Life which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.

Rev 22:2 LITV

(2) In the midst of its street and of the river, from here and from there, was a tree of life producing twelve fruits: according to one month each yielding its fruit. And the leaves of the tree were for healing of the nations.

Rev 22:14 LITV

(14) Blessed are the ones doing His commands, that their authority will be over the Tree of Life, and by the gates they may enter into the city.

We need to eat from the Tree of Life to live forever?

Ahhh ... this life will be more wonderful then our little minds can even comprehend! I so do look forward to this!!

The tree of Life is Gods sure word we are to listen to and live by, the tree of knowledge of good and evil is satans word that he enticed Eve and Adam to eat from. So man is stuck in a fallen world where others words are listen to besides the true word of God and we need to refrain from doing so and stick only with Gods words. Remember there is only one good seed one good word, Gods and His Son Yeshua Messiah.

There were two special trees in the Garden: the first on written about was the "Tree of life." This tree had the power of so renewing man's physical energies that his body, though formed of the dust of the ground and, therefore, naturally mortal, would by its continual use live on fore ever. (Christ is now our "Tree of life.) The other tree was the "Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, which represents the tree of death. That is the only tree that God forbade Adam and Eve from eating under penalty of "Spiritual" death and eventually physical death.

LOL. Well, when it comes to interpreting prophecy yet to be fulfilled - yeah, I'm in the "pan" camp (it will all pan out).

Ta Parker.I have always thought of Jesus as the "Bread of Life" that we must eat(believe/accept/learn from/have faith in/have inside us ) and in doing so we will again have access to the "Tree of Life" mentioned in Revelations and Genesis.

Rev 22:12-14 LITV

(12) And, behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to each as his work is.

(13) I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the Ending, the First and the Last.

(14) Blessed are the ones doing His commands, that their authority will be over the Tree of Life, and by the gates they may enter into the city.

Is this Tree of Life a representation of Jesus or is it an actual tree?

Rev 22:12-14 KJV

(12) And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

(13) I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

(14) Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Rev 22:1-2 LITV

(1) And he showed me a pure river of water of life, bright as crystal, coming forth out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

(2) In the midst of its street and of the river, from here and from there, was a tree of life producing twelve fruits: according to one month each yielding its fruit. And the leaves of the tree were for healing of the nations.

Did I say something you disagree with or confuse you? Serious question.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
