Honestly I didn't realize I posted this in the outer court, I was reading a post when I thought of this question. However I think I'm just gonna stop posting things all together. Instead of anyone answering the question I feel like everyone just wants to act jerky. Part of that is my fault due to where this posted, again didn't realize. So I'm done, everyone have fun because I'm sure like everything else on this forum it will soon turn to hurling insults.

I might suggest that, instead of ducking and running, you steer YOUR thread in the way you're wanting it to go. I haven't seen any 'jerky' responses, btw.

That would be hard to do in the Outer Court. The OP is directed toward christians. He would be defending on two fronts, one against christian evolutionists and the other against non-believing evolutionists.

Just by looking at these verses how can a Christian believe in evolution and the Bible?

Or the Big bang theory for that matter?

I would like someone to show me one scripture that supports evolution or a big bang theory.

I would have to say that scripture does not support evolution.

I would also have to say that scripture in no way opposes the Big bang theory.

Part of what Im trying to get at is this, if we use the Bible as our source of truth, if it supposed to be our map to the world we live in, why travel down a road the map leaves unmarked. I say go with what we know the Bible says and run with are source of truth. I think better that then following after theories the Bible doesn't support.

And part of what I'm trying to get at is that if we try and use the Bible as our map for the physical world we immediately run into huge contradictions precisely because the Bible was never meant to be a map of the universe, it is a revelation focusing on God's relationship to man.

Just for arguments sake, it would seem these scriptures refute heliocentrism.

Also the theory of heliocentrism was developed by the Greeks during the 17 and 1800's. The theory of geocentrism is more widely accepted today.

actually. i just want to say that back then their "world" consisted only of the known world. they didnt even consider the other places. i believe that the four corners of the earth just means over their land. its not literal. but that is just my opinion. i admit that when i saw this at first i was stumped. but God does sometimes confuse me. i plan to ask Him all of these kind of questions when i meet him and give him a big hug in heaven.

I remember reading many of Darwin's early quotes. He was always emphatic that discoveries within the fossil record would appear in abundance to support origin of the species. I think that as to date we are still at 0 credible fossil discoveries. On a slightly different note, why has everyone forgotten that The Origin of The Species, AKA Evolution, was a 100% racist work? The complete title of his thesis is "Origin of the Species and the preservation of favoured races in the struggle for life." Don't flame me, I am going to tell you what Darwin believed. I do not believe it. Darwin believed that the lighter the skin color of man, the more highly evolved he was. Darwin believed that the Black race was the oldest and least genetically "favoured" of the races. Darwin and his theory are both 100% racist. Everyone has seemed to conveniently have forgotten that. It is also odd that the last half of his orig. title was omitted at second publication of the work.

you know what annoys me probably the most...

i go to a public school and they have to teach us Evolution in year 10 for the school certificate. my science teachers openly against creationism and God. so i didnt know anything about all of this Darwin-being-racist stuff and that not the majority of evolutionists believe in the Big Bang. we were taught that the big bang theory was more of a fact then a theory and that evolution was how we got to where we are today. the worst thing about learning that was that i, as a chirstian, wasnt able to defend the christian beliefs. i just had to sit there and study evolution. (i think i got the worst marks in that subject than ive ever had - i just dont see the point in learning something that i know isnt true)
