;) My name is Philip 23, and I am dealing with a serious obsession with pornagraphy. I have prayed time and again for deliverence of this monster, but know matter how sincere my prayers are and how much I want to get past it I always give in. I love God and I want him to have complete control, but I just don't know how to surrender. I feel such a calling on my life and want so much to give up the old man. How? To top it off I just got out of prision and am forced to stay with my mom whom is also having her share of spirital battles. Her and my step father are haveing serious marrital problems. My sister whom is 29 is also here with her daughter who is 11. She is so full of bitterness it makes me sick. I am so tired of turning my back on the Lord but it almost seems impossible to get grounded in Christ. Even more so when you get out of prison only to find the family you exspected to help you is in shamblesits a little disscouraging. I'm not trying to make this a woe-is-me letter or nothing,I just don't know how to submit to the Lord. Beleive me I have been saying my prayers but I feel that there is a evil spirit in me I can't get out with my prayers alone. I could use some insight but, please if you reply to this make sure your someone who knows the Lord and not an oppinonist. Thank You!!!!!

Hey, my brother. Let me first say that I can hear your pain through your words. I understand the frustration that comes with repeated failure and breaking the promises that we make to ourselves and to God.

Let me just tell you that there is deliverance out there. God can and will deliver the one who is seeking deliverance. I do not try to minimize the stronghold of pornography addiction. I know first hand how destructive this sin is. Satan is using it to completely nullify the dynamism and witness of countless Christian men, many of them being pastors.

This is such a huge topic that it is impossible to cover all of the issues.

But, if I were you I would start by getting on my knees and asking God's forgiveness. Then, I would ask him to completely purge this addiction from your life. I would also begin fasting regularly. Fasting will help you to "reign in the flesh" and dedicate yourself to God.

Then, I would recommend you getting a top-quality internet filter service hooked up on your computer. Here's a good one:

BSafeOnline Internet Filter.

It sounds like you also need some solid Christian accountability and fellowship. If you Lone Ranger your Christian walk you will continue to fall.

Christians are like charcoal briquettes. When they are lumped together they burn bright and hot, but if one falls to the side alone it will begin to burn out. You need the encouragement and uplifting influence of godly brothers.

Your family situation is difficult. It doesn't sound like you have much choice except to be there and endure it. All the more reason for all of the above.

Each and every day wake up and spend time with God in His word and through prayer. Do not neglect this for even one day. If you wake up late and have to run out, then at least throw in a Christian poptart (Psalm or Proverb). He is the vine and you are the branch. Your strength is directly related to how well attached you are to Him. We are the body and He is the head. A headless body is dead. We must be connected to Him at all costs. He is our life. Life is in Him. Without him you can do nothing.

Joh 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Keep your mind on the things of God. Minute by minute, hour by hour think of things heavenly.

Col 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

Col 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

Col 3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

I am assuming your problem is with the computer, so take steps now to prevent another relapse. Place the computer in a high-traffic area in the house. Maybe the kitchen or living room. Do not use the computer alone.

There are other online services you can sign up for where you have an "accountability partner." These services will email your internet activity to a chosen person. This serves to provide accountability in that others will be seeing what you are viewing. But, do not let this take the place of God. He sees everything and it is He that you are grieving. He alone can deliver you from this.

You must come to the end of yourself and surrender yourself to God. I know this is easy to say, but you must be broken before God.

Mat 23:12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

1Pe 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

Jam 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

Jam 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Jam 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

Jam 4:9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.

Jam 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

I hope this helps and maybe gives you a starting point. Do not ignore the exhortation to move the computer to a visible place. You want to make accessing it difficult, not easy.

May the Lord richly bless you. Just praise Him that you are deeply convicted over this and are seeking to be set free. Soon you will be. :)

It didn't happen to you overnight and it won't leave you overnight. It will be a slow, uphill, and gradual process as God purges the dross from your mind, heart, and life. But, you must take positive steps in this direction. You must put feet to your desire to be free.

Grace to you,

What does the Bible say about the enemy?

Now what does it say about Jesus Christ and you abiding in He?

So the Word of God will define us.

Watch porn and you have defined yourself. Yet God has overcome this thru His Glorious Riches in Christ Jesus! Which are readily available to you in Faith.

Do not look to your family to uphold you. Look to Christ Jesus. Then you will uphold your family. You are the salt and light in this mix. Without it? It's dark and flavourless.

So the enemy has called you an ex-con and a deviant? What has God said about you? :il: Come on? Is it True what God has said about you? He says you are a burning stick snatched from the fire! He has cleansed you and placed a clean turban on your head wrapping you in the Righteousness of Christ Jesus!

Zec 3:7

Thus says the LORD of hosts; If you will walk in my ways, and if you will keep my charge, then you shall also judge my house, and shall also keep my courts, and I will give you places to walk among these that stand here.

The Lord say's,"Sin lays in wait at the door. It's desire is for you. You must rule over it."

Ro 8:33

Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifies.

Ro 8:34

Who is he that condemns? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us

Ro 8:37

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. :il:

Peace,

Dave

I agree with One Way, that fasting shows God that you are earnest in your quest to break an addiction. Many people come to Pastors with this type of problem. And the most successful cases are when the person who has the problem gets on His knees and fasts and prays. There is power in fasting. You need supernatural strength therefore I suggest you fast and pray.

BTW: And make "no provision for the flesh".

It isn't going to help someone if they try to quit drinking and hide a fifth of whiskey

under their bed. My point is get out anything that will cause you to stumble.

Don't let go of God! Don't give up! Keep fighting against the enemy!

"Be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might" - Eph. 6:10

"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you".

- James 4:7

Hi Philip!

It could be that you have suffered trauma or you have a need that your flesh is crying out to be met. Read on my teaching on this about hurts and how strongholds are formed and then we act out of those strongholds (lies faulty belief of meeting the flesh need).

People hurt because a person's primary present emotional pain comes from the misinterpretations (lies or stronghold of thinking) learned during life experiences and not from the memories of these events themselves. For example, a child feels shame not because his father divorced his mother but because he may believe it was his fault (the lie or stronghold of thinking). When I have negative emotional response in the present, it can almost always be traced back to an earlier event. In this earlier event there will be a belief that was established from which this negative emotion is rooted. My present feelings are generally indicative of what I believe.

It is believed that behavior is greatly influenced by the knowledge stored in the mind. Therefore, in order to act differently, we must be "renewed in our minds" (Romans 12:2) This renewal of the mind includes experiential

I get a daily scripture in my e-mail and for some reason I did not delete it when I was done reading it as I usually do. Here it is:

"Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you."

(Luke 10:19)

Just get in the owrd, read the bible and speak to the enemy and say leave. It doesn't have to be a big to do...just tell it to go in Jesus Name and it has to. Jesus did all the work for us alraedy so just use HIM darlin!!!!!!!! xoxoxoxo

Hi, have you ever done self deliverance? Here is some links for you.

http://www.sw-mins.org/gen_curses.html

http://www.porn-free.org/

But I didn't see the demon hit list overthere. If you need one I can send it to you. You will be free, but some work needs to be done. Also need a brother who will pray deliverance with you, even over the phone. Fasting is exellent idea. Meanwhile, I bind the strong man of pornography and spirits under him, also spirit of mind control and witchcraft in the heavenlies and in my brother in the name of The Lord Jesus Christ. Father, I pray that You send ministering angels of deliverance to minister my brother's needs. The spirit of repentance and forgiveness. Also i bind the spirits of shame and condemnation, bitterness, resentment, unforgiveness, pride and any other connected and related spirits. Father let Your mercy and grace be upon him and your hand of deliverance. And I thank You, Father. God Bless you brother.

P.S. Now you have to bind them every day, untill they are gone. They do not like to be bound and allways remove those chains of bondage. The more you bind them, more chains on them. But be worthy. Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Thank You Father for Your promis.

Look at how the buddhists handle addiction. It's the best way. Besides any other way is just their way with another label on it.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
