I believe however, that your understanding of God is faulty because yes, He hates sin, but as far as the judgment part....He would much rather, as Christ's death atests to, redeem then judge...this is what kind of Love God has. However...it is your choice to believe what you want.

Wow - unbeliebable...

Why don't you leave the judging to Jesus MJ, that is what God has done.

John 5 v 22 - "For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son,"

v 23 - "That all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Fahter who sent Him." Ysehua.

why is it okay for others to judge her, and not okay for her to judge others?

:noidea:

I find it rather bold to say someone's understanding of God is faulty when we have read Dave's many threads and I see him as quite sound Biblically speaking.

That is what I am commenting on Charitow.

Tell me Gideon -

is the Christian walk for you the hardest road you have ever taken?

Mayt I ask for what purpose this question is asked? I get the feeling I am a deer heading into a big pile of free corn but there are these funny little stands up in the trees. :)

has she read dave's many threads?

regardless, she was judged, and nobody said it was wrong. why would she not think it ok to judge others? and if one wants to comment on how it is wrong for her to judge dave, why does not one also comment on how it was wrong for her to be judged?

is it ok to judge our brothers and sisters? or is "judge" a subjective word?

either way, she has been wronged.

Ok Charitow, in that case each one of us has been wronged at some point or another on this forum.

We have all judged and been judged here -

Charitow,

No one has Judged her. Judging her would constitute Judging her Salvation.

We have measured what she is saying against the Word of God. This we are supposed to do. :emot-heartbeat: When we stop doing this we are in the wrong. As Believers we are to Judge every thing we hear. We Judge Righteously and when we Judge Righteously we are to use the Righteous measure, the Word. :)

Please explain how she has been wronged.

Peace,

Dave

Charitow, Miss Jenny attacks anyone who disagrees with her, and starts attacking them, while proposing that they are simply wrong and she is right with no proof outside of her own logic. She has even gone so far as to completely misquote scripture. This is a pattern for her, and she has done this in at least two other threads that I have seen.

She even went on the attack with me, and I agreed with her but suggested some other things that went along with the topic. She did not agree with what else I said so she attacked me and accused me of attacking her.

This is not judging, this is just being discerning. We are called to to this.

She has not been wronged and disagreeing with her is not "judging" her. Missjenny is the one who gets miffed at anyone who questions what she believes, but reserves the right to disagree with others. She's the one operating from a doublestandard.

If you would stop being so egotistically conceited and head over heels madly in love with your 'great self', then you would understand that the verse means that you should ONLY HAVE ENOUGH REGARD FOR OTHERS "AS" you have for yourself.

Are you speaking generally or specifically about someone? Just wondering...

The ones speaking ill, are speaking about me...and enjoying it. The 2nd replier to my post, which started this whole thing, insisted on debate or argument...as he did not attempt to get any clarification at all BEFORE tearing my post apart. His approach was brash and very hurtful...and humiliating. He didn't seem to care at all to who he was speaking to...as his first statement was not even to me, but to everyone, telling them how he was going to show my errors. My post was very open to respectful conversation and others ideas, and even disagreements, because I like to learn from others.....however, I was not ready for or desired strong debate/dispute.

SO, does a believer in Jesus HAVE to defend themselves (altho if they do...they really get it then!!), put up with being TOLD you ARE wrong (which halts discussion and puts up defenses)...or desire or have to put up with strong debate in order to post here on this site??? I'd like to know.

Is it truly possible to love others as we love ourselves?

People, taking into account the question asked in this post by the OP, and not seeing much love in it anywhere, I guess the answer to the question is a flat No?

Where is the grace we should display to all, believer or not, in this thread? And this cuts both ways.

Even some of the reasoned answers, given by some knowledgeable people, people of whose the majority of answers to questions of scripture, I believe are sound (we all disagree to some point with each other at times), lack grace and gentle instruction.

Or tell me I'm wrong.

Close it Dave, please.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
