For all of us who have a heart for ministering to Muslims and sharing the gospel with them, it was suggested we started a new thread on the subject.

Muslims are particularly difficult people to approach with the Gospel because they completely deny the divinity of Christ, the crucifixion, death and resurrection, and the concept of the atoning sacrifice for our salvation.

At the same time, as Christians we tend to have highly emotional reactions to the violence about their religion and its history, the moral debasement of their prophet, and finally the aggressivity of contemporary Muslims when it comes to talking about faith.

So with this thread we can talk about our challenges, approaches and methods of reaching out to them. And also common arguments they like to throw at us about the Bible.

Great idea Charitow!!! Lets get started!!!

Invaluable, readable resources....

My main burden has been pseudo-Christian cults like JWs and Mormons, but there are over 1 billion Muslims, including my neighbors. Many Muslims are coming to Christ. A loving, Christocentric approach is the best one. I am reading the Quran.

We do not like changes. We like to stick to our denomination even though we have accepted God and Jesus. All faiths, except Christianity, do not full fill you and allways looking for new boosts. Infact other faiths convert to Christanity more easily and in larger nubers than the otherway around. We can answer to any muslim or any other human question because Jesus speaks through us. We become Jesus voice and tool. We are His disciples and represenatives.

A wonderful and best job in the world.

Blessings

Okay, now I have time. When I was in Gambia, one of my friends was talking to an Islamic man about Jesus. He asked why God sent his Son, not come himself. My friend realized something, so he asked. So if an Muslim man sends his son in his stead does he not have the same authority as the Father. "Yes" said the Man, and then he realized the truth in this. He did not come to Christ right then but he did seem to have more respect for Christianity as a whole.

I think this defines the people of Islam quite well, as the child and the man in this true story were both Islamic.

Its also a reason we need to be witnesses!

Mindy's Story

Yesterday I got all my things together, put my sunscreen on and draped my towel over my arm. We had a few hours to relax, and I wanted to rest before I got into ministry. I went to the beach as a tourist in Gambia.

I got to the Beach, and became slightly annoyed at all the vendors that

were approaching me for my name and money. I finally evaded them long enough

to put my things next to Anna (with the pile of bags already surrounding

her) and walked down to the vast, powerful ocean.

I dipped my feet in and the water sent a chill from my toes to my nose

instantly. I walked in up to my knees but decided to sit in the sun, on the

sand. I walked back toward my warm inviting towel that was cooking in the

African sun.

Great topic :noidea::whistling: ...i was gonna post a question about this, but on Catholic beliefs.. See there's this kid who sits in front of me in class, i talk to him about my religion. I argue/talk to him on how we run things, but he doesn't get some of the things i say. I tell him he needs to read the bible to know what God wants for him, but he sticks just to this book that tells him how to think. I also have a hard time explaining why idols or his saints are bad. I told him about the frist commandment; you know: "you shall have no other Gods before me" Exodus 20:3. and even pulled out this story on a statue that got up and destroyed all the other statues b/c it was jelous, and he was like "no, they can;t move!" and i was like "excactly!" and he was like no. :24:

how do i explain to him what we believe, with out being mean, or saying "YOUR WRONG"

Should i make another topic on this? or can we talk about it here? i don't want to talk about that here, i say make anther topic, but what do you guys think? i would just start another one for my previous question. copy, and paste. :24:

Best,

Lilly

Hey Kid, I would start a new topic on that one!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
