A few years back I put away my guns,I dont really know why ,how or exactly when but I had a very strong Conviction to disarm and in obedience ,I just did.Ive not thought about it since that day but lately I have the notion to "lock n load"

Unfortunately for me,  I have a person that I used to work with that thinks I got him fired about three decades ago that started making late night phone calls threatening both me and my family...    He has a very serious anger management problem and is a binge drug user.    I took recordings of his phone calls to the sheriff's office and was given a carry permit package and told to arm up and be armed all the time.  If he shows up on my doorstep at 2 AM just shoot him on sight.

Oh Well

Oh Well

That's an actual legitimate reason to "arm up".

I don't believe we have to justify our 2nd Amendment rights.  The US Constitution already does that.

You need to be led by the Lord in all matters.

If you get your firearm information from ABC, CNN, NBC, CBS, New York Times, Washington Post, USA Today, or from The View, you are going to be led to erroneous assumptions portrayed as truth regarding guns. The same can be said for information regarding crime and crime statistics. It is clear in the USA, that leadership in the FBI, CDC, NIH, CIA, et al. have been politicized since 2016 and possibly before; and they've been working with major media outlets to take the power away from the people and put it into the hands of unelected officials.

All the plans can go terribly wrong. Best to keep quiet and carry a  big stick.

See what can really happen in life by looking up the videos about

Jason Harley Kloepfer being shot by Cherokee Indian swat team.

Bad things can happen real fast.

Brother, from a fellow Aussie, don't go there! I've BTDT. The foundation of the states was built on their right to have and use firearms and their opinion on this matter in general terms seems to be diametrically opposed to those Aussie hold (as with all generalisations, this won't hold for all, but it is generally true).

Former military, UDF(only) trained, but am strongly against all the gun nonsense here. They just passed a law (in my state) for any nutcase to carry w/o a permit.

I rather respect the ‘premeditated’ perspective on gun-users in Australian law. That is truly remarkable wisdom!

The obvious should be stated for Christians, though…

Nobody ever talks about the lives saved by some would be gun owner who witnesses a crime and takes action. The numbers don't fit the Marxist/Socialist talking points. Aussies, run your own country, not the USA. The next world war, we'll let you handle it.

I know I've heard quite a few Christians claim we should not engage in self defense which I assume for them they would allow a criminal to have their way once they break in.

But, try as they may, they cannot explain the Word of Jesus away!

Luke 22:36
Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

The Lord is instructing them to buy a weapon and this shows that He is not opposed to having weapons for self defense.

Of course this does not mean weapons are our go to thing... it should be a very last resort in extreme circumstances.

Nobody should be happy or joyful over the prospects of having to kill someone in self defense.

But, if one is in grave danger of lose of life, limb, or property... it's not a in to shoot.

Yes, we should turn the other cheek if all they are doing is slapping you... but the Lord never instructs us to let people murder us either!

Just my 2 cents from down south... where most everyone is packing!
