This is all so sad. People learn what they are brought up with or what they may seek out. Honestly, I do not know much about islam and muslim. I feel for the children that have been raised blind to Jesus as their savior. :whistling:

One reason why Muslims are so resistant to the Christian message is that they are already familiar with Christian themes. Like Judaism and Christianity, Islam is a monotheistic and Abrahamic faith. The three Western religions share a common heritage and a common set of concepts and terms, despite the obvious differences in the theological foundations.

We should respect the Islamic faith, rather than denigrate and demonize it. Islam honors Jesus as a great prophet, second in importance only to Muhammad. The Qur'an mentions that Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary and that he lived a sinless life, although the sacrificial death on the cross is not accepted. Nor does Islam accept the doctrine of the Trinity, and the Qur'an explicitly denies that Jesus is the Son of God.

Muslims may be hard to reach with the gospel of Jesus Christ, but they already know a little bit about him, although they accept him only as a human prophet in the line of prophets leading up to Muhammad. We should pray for the conversion of the Muslim world, but not in an attitude of arrogance or self-complacency. Above all, we should always remember that Muslims are people just like us.

Satan is the great imitator; he has always imitated God from the day of his falling. He setup a religion unto himself called "Islam." The Quran states that Allah

Salam my christian brethen

Firstly, I would like to introduce myself, My name is Jamal and I am a believing Muslim. I would also like to commend "christianbear114" for her nice words.

Apart from that, I am utterly astonished and somewhat angry by what I've just read in this forum. Most of you Christians slander and critisice the Islamic faith with no firm proof, which I personally assume that most of your sources are derived from anti-islamic sites.

Please you Christians, before you base a judgement on something or say anything about a certain issue, please find out for yourselves personally and do some research. For surely, had you fellow people had done some proper research into Islam, you would not be saying such things since they are obviously false.

I will not do likewise and attack your faith, but on the contrary, I will defend my faith.

Yes, we Muslims do believe that Jesus (pbuh) shall descend from the heavens as a sign of the Day of Reckoning to bring justice and peace, eradicate falsehood and to kill Dajjal (anti-christ). And no, we do not believe that Imam Mahdi is the messiah since the messiah is the beloved Jesus (pbuh). Imam Mahdi is also a sign of the day of judgement, but frankly speaking, i do not know about what he will exactly do.

No muslim is a muslim unless he believes in Jesus (pbuh). Believing in Jesus (pbuh) is an integral article of the Islamic faith - the True Religion of God Almighty.

And no, we not invent lies about Jesus, saying that he was God or the sone of god. Since God Almighty says "He does not beget, nor was he begotten". It is derogatory, in fact it is blasphemey, to say that God should beget a son. Glory be to Him! High is God above the things you attribute to Him. It lowers God to the status of man by saying that he begat, since we are attributing our innate characterstics to God, which is certainly false.

And no, we do not pray in the name of Jesus (pbuh) or call him our saviour, since the only one that could save us if God Almighty.

I am deeply sorry if I challenged your faith but I felt that it was incumbent upon myself to post this.

To end with, I would like to beseech Allah- The Lord of the Universe, from the depth of my heart to guide you Christians to the true path. For verily, no soul shall be granted respite on The Day of Judgement. This is your time to pursue the Truth and stick to the truth.

May the Peace and Blessing of Allah Ta'ala be among those who follow True guidance. Ameen

I would like to cite some verse on the Glorious Quran:

"And thou wilt find the nearest of them in affection to those who believe ( to be ) those who say : Lo! "We are christians" . That is because there are among people devoted to learning , and because they are not arrogant ."

"And the Jews will not be pleased with thee , nor will the christians , till thou follow their creed . Say : Lo! the guidance of Allah ( Himself ) is Guidance . And if thou shouldst follow their desires after the knowledge which hath come unto thee , then wouldst thou have from Allah no protecting friend nor helper."

" . And the Jews say the christians follow nothing ( true ) , and the christians say the Jews follow nothing ( true ) ; yet both are readers of the Scripture . Even thus speak those who know not . Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that wherein they differ."

One more thing

This one is directed at the user "Trinity". How deluded you are! Please do not invent such a lie. Why do you wish to slander the religion of God-Islam. Islam means "to submit", and whoever submits to the will of God, they are called Muslims. While Islam is perfect, muslims are not. And please do not quote partial parts from the quran, first read the the verses before and after before you denigrate. And yes, Islam is the fastest growing religion, simply because the truth prevails. According to the Almanac book of facts, Christianity increased by 47% within the last decade whereas Islam increased by 210%. Do not say that the muslims worship satan, we worship the one True God in the way He wants to be worshipped. Islam is very tolerant and we are one of the most hospitable people in humanity, thus, I will not slander your faith and invent falsehood, but will only shed some truth.

Welcome, Jamal, to our esteemed forum! May you contribute richly to our open and friendly discussions.

I thank you for your kind words. I am certainly not antagonistic towards Islam or Muslim peoples. In fact, many Christians complain that I am too sympathetic to Islam. I fully appreciate, for example, that all Muslims honor the prophet Jesus. Of course, our two religions have many theological differences, and this forum is a friendly place in which these differences can be honestly and frankly discussed. You seem to be a very intelligent person, and you can play an important role in educating us about what Islam is all about. You might be surprised at how very much we have in common.

Many Christians have a negative opinion of Islam, and this is unfortunate. Aside from the theological differences between our two great religions, there have been times of conflict between our civilizations. We need not go into all the details, but we Christians have often been very uncharitable towards our Muslim neighbors. Both sides should welcome and respect the others, and show good faith towards others with different viewpoints. Of course, we cannot both be entirely correct, but we can learn to live with our differences.

Many Christians, especially evangelical Christians, also have eschatological views which predispose them against Islam and Muslims. As an evangelical Christian, I may share some of those viewpoints, without going to the extreme positions that some Christians may take. I apologize for the bad things which are sometimes said against Islam on Christian forums, and I will endeavor to say nothing myself that would unjustly defame the Islamic faith. Please stick around in this forum, good Jamal, since you may have much to offer us.

Incidentally, christianbear144 is definitely male!

Jam it was nothing against you, sorry for coming across like that, i was just quoting.

We have expected a great falling away from our God for about 2000 years now telling me the facts about how Islam is bigger then us isn't knew infact we knew it would happen :whistling: , we know Christianity is getting the boot, because the bible prophecied this, but God will Prevale, Yes the Truth shall prevale! but after the falling away first! Why because the world hates the true Jesus, but Jesus will be revealed! King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Creater and sustainer! God Almight is his name, alpha, omega, first last, beginning and the end, He holds the keys to death and hades forevr!

Trinity, I agree with your original post no matter how harsh it may have sounded.

The Hadith translated of Sahih Bukhari

Volume 4, Book 52, Number 41:

Narrated Abdullah bin Masud:

I asked Allah's Apostle, "O Allah's Apostle! What is the best deed?" He

replied, "To offer the prayers at their early stated fixed times." I asked,

"What is next in goodness?" He replied, "To be good and dutiful to your

parents." I further asked, what is next in goodness?" He replied, "To

participate in Jihad in Allah's Cause." I did not ask Allah's Apostle

anymore and if I had asked him more, he would have told me more.

Volume 4, Book 52, Number 177:

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Apostle said, "The Hour will not be established until you fight with

the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. "O

Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him."

Volume 4, Book 52, Number 46:

Narrated Abu Huraira:

I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "The example of a Mujahid in Allah's Cause--

and Allah knows better who really strives in His Cause----is like a person

who fasts and prays continuously. Allah guarantees that He will admit the

Mujahid in His Cause into Paradise if he is killed, otherwise He will return

him to his home safely with rewards and war booty."

Volume 4, Book 52, Number 48:

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet said, "Whoever believes in Allah and His Apostle, offer prayer

perfectly and fasts the month of Ramadan, will rightfully be granted

Paradise by Allah, no matter whether he fights in Allah's Cause or remains

in the land where he is born." The people said, "O Allah's Apostle ! Shall

we acquaint the people with the is good news?" He said, "Paradise has

one-hundred grades which Allah has reserved for the Mujahidin who fight in

His Cause, and the distance between each of two grades is like the distance

between the Heaven and the Earth. So, when you ask Allah (for something),

ask for Al-firdaus which is the best and highest part of Paradise." (i.e.

The sub-narrator added, "I think the Prophet also said, 'Above it (i.e.

Al-Firdaus) is the Throne of Beneficent (i.e. Allah), and from it originate

the rivers of Paradise.")

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
