Dear brothers and sisters,

After a while all of these political threads become "uncivil" so let's talk about what you are really voting for, when you vote for a Presidential candiate.

You are voting for what kind of administration and the kind of administration a president will place into office. You are voting for what kind of judges will be appointed to the bench. What kind of people will be nominated at top security and military branches of office.

Since I have some background in DC having worked as a political consultant, I can tell you what the major difference in the two major candiates.

1st -- when Bill Clinton was in office, you couldn't find a single fundamental Bible believer in his administration.

Although the National Day of Prayer takes place every year, not a single Christian leader was ever invited to the White House on this important day when Christian leaders are assembled in DC.

2nd -- when Bill Clinton was in office -- you can't name a conservative judge appointed to the bench.

3rd -- when Bill Clinton was in office you had more generals and senior military officer resign than under any other president. The CIA was torn completely apart to the point, we didn't even have accurate intelligence concerning 9-11, or Saddam's WMD's.

A vote for Kerry will continue this type of administration.

Now in Bush's administration, there are lots of fundamental Bible believers in His administration and they are not LOCKED out of the political process unlike the previous 8 years. Every year, Christians are invited to the White House on the National Day of Prayer.

Every week, there's a conference call with major Christian leaders for their input [i know since I have sat in on several of these conference calls] which never happened under Clinton's administration.

Bush has nominated more conservative judges only to be filibustered by the Democrats -- and they are still preventing these judges to sit on the bench.

Does Bush handle things as best as I would like? Absolutely NOT!

1. Overspending, although tax revenue has INCREASED despite tax reductions they are completely offset with increased spending which needs to be tamed.

2. Certain wording concerning Islam is bothersome to me.

Now when my vote is going to count, DO I WANT MY VIEWPOINT TO BE COMPLETELY LOCKED OUT? OR DO I WANT AT LEAST MY VIEW TO BE HEARD?

That's really what you are voting for.

Your brother in Christ with much agape love,

George

Thanks George!

Bush has nominated more conservative judges only to be filibustered by the Democrats -- and they are still preventing these judges to sit on the bench.

It's a sad day when people cheer actions like this. Judges should be completely impartial. While I know it's not an easy feat, the activist judge problem cannot be "Fought' by appointing more conservative ones. The actions must be fought by congress passing laws on what judges may preside over. If judges were to stick to enforcing the laws and constitution ONLY we wouldn't have this problem, no matter the judges view.

Just because he takes their input doesn't mean he values their opinion for anything more than preaching what Christians want to hear. I'm sorry but I judge Bush on his actions not on promises or statements after all we've had 4 years to judge him on those and the results are not encouraging.

Now when my vote is going to count, DO I WANT MY VIEWPOINT TO BE COMPLETELY LOCKED OUT? OR DO I WANT AT LEAST MY VIEW TO BE HEARD?

But that is based on a false premise, by saying this you are voting for someone who you know is not the best canidate for the job but because you think they might win you'll vote for them. I refuse to vote for someone who will ruin this country.

Steff, I agree.

Looking into the speakers of the upcoming GOP convention, it seems that all the key speakers are both pro abortion and pro gay. I find that a bit bothersome since he claims to be a dedicated Christian.

Like several of us has said in the past his association with Skull and Bones and the Bohemian grove is another thing that bothers me greatly. I've seen video tape of the "Cremation of Care" ritual that those people carry out every year and it is very bothersome to me with him (Bush) claiming to be such a strong Christian.

he puts us a good front, but many others in the past have done that same and ended up not being what they say.

I have read much on this board as to what he has said and people who he has listened to, but what has he done. I believe Jesus told us to judge people by their fruits and not by there speech or who they listen to.

About his cabinet, what do we know about them. dick C., Paul W., John A., Carl R., Condelisa R. Carl R. who are these people, where do they come from, what are their beliefs. Are they the kinds of people who a born again would associate himself with, or are they more of the same Skull and Bones, and Bohemian grove crowd that burn mock sacrifices to the pagan gods.

It all wouldn't bother me so much if he were not making such a deal out of being a christian..... something is just wrong and it is in a very dangerous time for our nation and it's future.

Well then, I guess it is a good thing that God is in control no matter who is in the White House. :t2:

I have yet to see any judge wether conservative, liberal or whatever be impartial. No such creature exists. When I vote I will vote for Bush because at least my voice will be heard and not ignored totally. I agree with George that Bush has handled things sometimes not to my liking either but at least he does something. He needs to concetrate on bringing the deficit down for sure but not at the sacrafice of our national security. Its a hard job he has and his advisors are telling him things slanted the way they believe it ought to be handled. Removing our military men and women from one station to another just adds to the problem.

That's right, It doesn't matter who wins because God has a plan. Everything will go according to His plan no matter who wins the election. That's why I don't get so worked up over politics or upcoming elections.

Of course I think it's important to know what's going on around you, and always vote; but I don't worry about elections like I used to. God has a plan and everything is right on schedule. :t2:

Just my 2cents.

In Christ,

Did Jesus turn the sinners away? No. And This is America they are americans and they have just as much as right as you do, because you are just as much a sinner then the Gays.

Ps. i don't support Gays actions.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
