Have any one else realize that when God starts to stripe away our old selve and starts to rebuild us that he doesn't rip away the old us in one big move. Like when you were a child and have a bandade on a bad cut and your parents see that it needs to be changed. They turn your attention to something else and before you know it the bandade is gone. Not with God. At least not with me.

What He's doing is ripping that old bandade off little by little and many times the pain is so bad that I want to say forget it. But in the process of ripping away the old and building the new as He expose the many things that are not of Him in my life he gives me understanding of why I did what I did or thought what I thought.

It's like He's right there say "Okay, you did this and this is the reason why you did it." Many times the reasons that He's showed me is so completely different from the way I remember it and yet as He explains it I see that He is absolutely right.

Then with a mercy that is utterly amazing He doesn't just step away and say 'Fix it.' He stands right there beside me and say 'Okay, this is what we need to do in order to remove this from your character.' We not me.

I've learned so much since becoming a Christian. So much about me and what I thought was true and so much about what is actually true and yet through it all. The pain, the laughter, the praises, the worship, the knowledge unveiled His presense is always consistent.

For many years even before becoming a christian and definitely after I use to asks 'Why do you love us so much?' I don't asks that question any more. You see I've come to understand that no matter how much knowledge I develop in this world I will never ever grasp not even a small measure of the love His has for us.

God Bless

Blessings to you Jacqueline :il:

Yes i think i understand what you are talking about. I had a series of dreams when i first became a Christian, They brought me to a point where i came to see how i was insensitive pompous and a smart mouth to boot. At the time i was like that i thought i was being smart being witty but from those dreams God put me in contact with the hurt i had made others feel. i actually felt their pain and it crushed me that i had said those things and caused such hurt to others. Thank God i have a merciful God who is quick to forgive and longsuffering towards fools like me.

Jaqueline,

It is not difficult at all to know where you are coming from, for I feel as though I am going through the exact same thing at this point in time. It is amazing all the things which God makes visible to me each and every day. For over the past two weeks, whenever my conscious is not truly focusing on what God's will is for me, it becomes more evident. Especailly when I am doing something wrong. It is a feeling which is a bit difficult to put into words. If I were to try to discribe my situation...it is almost like having a light turned on when you are stealing something...in other words, having light cast on you so that way you are caught in the act.

Awesome post!

With Love In Christ,

Danielle

But consider the joy of those corrected by God! Do not despise the chastening of the Almighty when you sin. For though he wounds, he also bandages. He strikes, but His hands also heal. Job 5:17-18

Greetings in Jesus,

Here's my favourite scripture regarding this topic....I have no comment really and have nothing to add 'cuz the Word stands on it's own here....

Hear His Word -

Hebrews 12:1-13

1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

4 In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.

5 And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons: "My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,

6 because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son."

7 Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?

8 If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons.

9 Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live!

10 Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness.

11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

12 Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees

13 "Make level paths for your feet,"so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.

God bless,

Bob

THank you, Called. That was a verse I needed to hear today.

Thank all of you for your replies. I rejoice when God corrects me because that means that I am His child. I couldn't imagine the feelings that would floor me if He stopped. Thank God that is not possible.

God Bless

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
