I'd say more (cuz everyone knows I can't shut up about this..lol), but I think we may have already opened up a huge can of worms already..

Looks like the lid's stil on to me :P

Seriously Tess, speak your mind....I for one will stay outta it [ the discussion ] and only observe, but if you feel the need to talk on it - by all means do so. Perhaps some truths can be revealed and some fallacies uncovered through it all [ the discussion ].

God bless,

I have no doubt that I am saved because I understand the simple concept that God is "Father" and I am "child".

Father + child = family

My Father loves me and forgives me; I love my Father and when I disobey, I am sorry and desire to change because I love my Daddy.

I want to obey because I see God as Daddy. He's not just "Daddy"...He's MY DADDY!

My Daddy loves me and forgives me and wants to forgives me and guide me onto the right path. He cotinually directing my path onto the right way. I feel His presence continually. He's "Daddy". Daddy loves me. I'm not a 'little girl' in this body but I'm "His Little Girl" no matter how old I get. I will never age but will always be His child.

I feel a Father-child relationship and I sense a warm embrace with my Daddy. I feel my cheek pressed against His somehow. I can't explain it; I just do. I feel my Daddy forgives and loves me and I'm free.

If I can feel the sweet tenderness of my earthly daddy loving me, how much MORE SO can my Heavenly daddy love me?

Once you begin to really feel loved and cherished by your Heavenly daddy, it's so much easier to feel forgiven. I HAVE to emphasize though that in the midst of loving my Heavenly Daddy, I also feel deep love and compassion for my earthly brothers and sisters.

With that forgiveness, there has to come sincerity and genuinine caring....Father knows me knows my heart deep inside.

I've often heard it said that we cannot obey God without the "power" he gives you through the Holy Spirit. I have prayed in tears(which dosent come easy for me by the way) for this power. Still...No Power!!!!Then some will say," well ...you got to follow through". Well then...Hmmmm..to me that sounds like I need to do something. So now its me and not God. So I clinch my jaw and double up my fist and say no to sin. Sometimes on a good day I can go for an hour with out sinning. It all comes down to your own personal will power in the end. You can claim that God gave you the power but in the end its you and your will. If you can't make the hurdle you will perish. It takes strength and lots of it. I admire all of you for having that stength. Im weak. I want to "want to" stop sinning but I'm not sure if I want to. My flesh screams for it. I'll say this on the internet because I won't get busted. I THINK I MIGHT BE A FAKE CHRISTIAN. Every think I have ever been taught both at school and at home has been achievment based. And that is the way the world really is. In sports, business, education or whatever. It go's against the grain to let go and let God. Your too busy with your achievement program. I try to keep my soal still but doing that causes much pain. Dose anyone hear not have habitual sins? Are they just slip ups that occur on occasions? The question for me is not which sin has a hold on me? In truth it's which SinS. I was taught to sin before I even knew it was sin. I was very young. Where was God? I believe in him but I seem to have real trouble finding him or hearing from him.

This is kinda like an E-confession booth. It's easier to tell the truth this way.

Just venting....

Dan....

Dear Dan,

Do you read the Word on a regular basis? That is partly what keeps me strengthened on a daily basis. It's like an energy source that you can't see. God's Word will readily come to mind in terms of my daily life, and keeps me in check.

Dan, I hope you will take the time to REALLY MEDITATE ON THESE VERSES.

James 1:13 Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. 14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. 15 Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. 16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. 18 Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.

19 So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; 20 for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God. 21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your soul. 22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

In His Love,

Suzanne

Suzanne,

I do read God's word and quite abit lately. I am more of a hearer, but I don't think I am deceiving myself. Deep down I don't see a lampstand to the world. I see evil. I even scare me! I can see that God(Jesus) is Holy. I can see me and I tell you there is a big difference. Most people who know me think I'm a person with a good heart. I wish it were true. I'm in a bit of a medical fox hole and so I'm not sure about the future. It's interesting how a debilitating condition can be like truth serum. I am currently stuck on Romans 6,7 and 8. What dose this mean?

Yup! That's that "affliction" I was speaking of.

I am currently stuck on Romans 6,7 and 8. What dose this mean?

That means that the Word is speaking to you, if that is what comes to mind. Romans 6, is about "offering" yourself as a slave to righteousness, rather than sin. You will be servant to one or the other, which will it be? You get to choose.

7 is about realizing your sin.

8 Is about receiving the Power of the Spirit, which is what you desire. And that as a Christian you have an "obligation" to live according to the Spirit that is the Power given to you, if you so choose to take hold of it. (Revisit Deuteronomy 30)

Jesus purchased LIFE for you, but you still have to take hold of it IF you believe! And if you don't believe, ask Him to help your unbelief, just as the man in Mark 9.

Mark 9:24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!"

In His Love,

Suzanne

I will spend some time with those verses. I know we have to choose. I wish I could be a puppet for God. Too bad it dosent work that way.

Dear Dan,

Do you really believe in your heart Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for you?

What if you were actually there and saw Him in agony and watched His blood dripping down on you and it literally covered you and you knew it was all because of YOUR SINS? Could you keep on sinning purposefullly?

Salvation is so easy......"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. " Romans 10:9-10

Turn to God and ask Him to grant you repentance. If you are sure of your salvation, fast and ask God to break any strongholds. Isaiah 58:6 speaks of fasting to .... " to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke"

Claim the power of the blood of Jesus....ask him to seal every door to your heart with His blood and sing songs about His blood.

I am praying for you.

Love in Christ,

Amazedbyhislove

Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Let God be true, now if you have problems, and I do also, then we are called by God to escape the sins of the world, and receive the divine nature, and anyone who has fellowship with God sin will not remain in them, the spirit they have, will control the other evil nature, God is more powerful then everyones sins, and He can, and will if we will be strong in the grace(favor) of God, He will help us to do things that are right, the more we walk in faith, the more love we will have the more obedient we will be, and the more opportunities, we will see God can, and does, and will take control over us. Either we are controled by evil spirits, or God's Holy Spirit, Christ has redeemed us from all sin, if we have fellowship with Him we will walk as He walked is what the scripture in 1 John says. According to your faith so be it unto you, is what Jesus says.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
