QUOTE IGH:

the woman was a clone of man

Clone? Excuse me . . . .

Do you know what a clone is? It is an EXACT genetic replication.

The woman God created was from the same race as Adam, the human race, but was indeed very different from him in biological function and emotional makeup, but NOT in spiritual attributes .

Woman has equal value in God's eyes as does the male:

In Galatians3:28 Pauls writes;

"There is neither Jew nor GreeK, slave nor free, male nor female for we are ALL one in Christ."

We are EQUAL in the FALL; EQUAL in SALVATION,; EQUAL in the process of SANCTIFICATION .....

Our roles are different and meant to compliment one another.

But difference in function on earth does not change who we are before God.

When God created Adam He infact created THE HUMAN BEING.

There was no need to create a 2nd TYPE of human being, when the first one was indeed 'good'.

When Adam indicated or God recognized that Adam needed a mate, the woman was taken from the first human being - Eve was from the race of Adam, the first man -

That is the race that Fell -

We are regnerated through the second Adam - the new man - Jesus Christ.

Therefore Paul could say in Colossians "Christ is all and in all."

This moves us to a truer understanding of the mutuality of our relationship in Christ

Hi IGH,

This is most definately new age belief.

And as Suzanne said if the bible is inaccurate as the infalliable word and instruction from God, how then do we determine which parts to believe? You either believe in something or you will fall for anything, which appears to be the case here.

Many are decieved today from "smooth talkers" "I was really moved by the speaker" Phlosophy.

People want to have their "ears tickled" By speaches of intelect or saying what we want to hear. The gospel doesnt come in cleaver speach, but in power through the cross of our Lord.

    1 Corinthians 1

17  For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not in cleverness of speech, so that the cross of Christ would not be made void.

18  For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

19  For it is written,

"I WILL DESTROY THE WISDOM OF THE WISE,

AND THE CLEVERNESS OF THE CLEVER I WILL SET ASIDE."

The word of God is power and many throughout the years have tried to rip iy apart, but God in His faitfullness has kept it in tact.

It amazes me that people would believe the words of man, but when it comes to Gods word they say that it has been handled and translated and re-translated and it has now become unreliable as instruction from God.

When we believe anything or anyone who does not adhere to what Gods word says, it becomes a religion and once we believe our religion over Gods word, our faith has become shipwrecked and is wortless.

We preach Christ and Him crucified!

In Jesus

Kevin

maybe clone wasnt a completely correct understanding, but its what i understand when God took a rib from Adam and made it into Eve. I dont understand how he did it but because Eve came from Adam she was part of him and God made her to complete him and be there with him, so he was not alone.

i did not intend to belittle Eve or women, Sachi. i apoligise if it sounded that way.

When I spoke to Art Laffin, it was clear to me that the Spirit was moving through him. This wasn't "tickling of the ears" it was the REAL THING and a very profound experience. Lots of other speak of life-altering events - why is mine criticized? Really...I wish everyone could have the experience I had hearing him.

I believe in the holiness of the Bible, inspired fully by God, written down THROUGH THE LENS OF CULTURE AND LANGUAGE by man. Men, mostly, part of a patriarchal society. And with a now two thousand year old worldview. Of course God preserves the integrity of the Bible as a whole, but it's unrealistic not to recognize the physical authors as well. It's supremely good, but it must be interpreted.

By the way, JesusisGod2, when did "evil deeds" come into the picture? Were you referring to me...? Maybe I'm being too defensive now :t2:

And right on, Sachi. We, all parts of the Body of Christ, we stand EQUAL before God.

YES !!! You said it.

The Bible is is God-inspired, God-breathed.

All scripture, says Timothy, is given by the inspiration of God. (2Tim3:16)

Because it is God inspired it is inerrant , because God does not and can not lie.

The miracle, Georgesbluegirl is that in spite of the limitations of the men who wrote the various books, inspite of the soci-political context in which it was penned - it remains the authentic revelation of God's mind to us people.

There is no other book that has the Power and Eternal Truths as the Bible.

None.

And so forth. So why don't you guys who follow the letter of the Bible as infallible follow these?

Because the laws of the land have anuled GODS word. Which makes what is comming up all the more justfied.

Jeremiah 25:

30 "Therefore prophesy against them all these words, and say to them: 'The Lord will roar from on high, And utter His voice from His holy habitation; He will roar mightily against His fold. He will give a shout, as those who tread the grapes, Against all the inhabitants of the earth.

31 A noise will come to the ends of the earth-- For the Lord has a controversy with the nations; He will plead His case with all flesh. He will give those who are wicked to the sword,' says the Lord."

32 Thus says the Lord of hosts: "Behold, disaster shall go forth From nation to nation, And a great whirlwind shall be raised up From the farthest parts of the earth.

33 And at that day the slain of the Lord shall be from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth. They shall not be lamented, or gathered, or buried; they shall become refuse on the ground.

34 "Wail, shepherds, and cry! Roll about in the ashes, You leaders of the flock! For the days of your slaughter and your dispersions are fulfilled; You shall fall like a precious vessel.

35 And the shepherds will have no way to flee, Nor the leaders of the flock to escape.

36 A voice of the cry of the shepherds, And a wailing of the leaders to the flock will be heard. For the Lord has plundered their pasture,

37 And the peaceful dwellings are cut down Because of the fierce anger of the Lord.

In CHRIST JESUS

By the way, JesusisGod2, when did "evil deeds" come into the picture? Were you referring to me...? Maybe I'm being too defensive now

Actually, I was refering to these new age philosophies, however, when one says that Gods word is unreliable today, there is a spirit of evil in it.

satan used this same thinking with eve in the garden, "Did God really say?" he has tried to caused doubt in peoples heart as to the authenticity of Gods word from the beginning.

Genesis 3:1

Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?"

God Himself is He who watches over His word and protects it.

Mark 13:31

"Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.

Religion today tells us this bible is outdated and has lost somethings in translation throughout the years of translation, but they cant tell you what. Gods word has lost nothing, God is the Author and He watches over it.

Luke 1:2

just as they were handed down to us by those who from the beginning were  eyewitnesses and servants of the word,

Luke 11:28

But He said, "On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it."

Luke 24:44

Now He said to them, "These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled."

John 4:41

Many more believed because of His word;

It is Gods word that cause people to believe, not the cleaverness of speech.

John 5:47

"But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?"

John 12:48

"He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him;  the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day.

Christ says that if we dont not recieve His sayings which is His word, this same word will be what judges him in the last day. It is a pretty serious matter. If you reject the scriptures as the infalliable word of God, you reject God and this respect it is indeed evil.

Gods word comes before what our church teaches, if we follow what our church says over what God says, we do nothing more than follow a religion, a religion that is of no use to us when we stand before God.

John 14:23

Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and  My Father will love him, and We  will come to him and make Our abode with him.

You cant keep something unless you first believe that it is truth, Gods word is truth.

John 14:24

"He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father's who sent Me.

This is a very important teaching of God and it is up to you which side you stand on. If you love Him you keep His word, in order to keep it you must believe that it is true.

Those who dont love Him, do not keep His Word, these are the words of Jesus Himself!

Where do you stand?

And did you also know the bible doesn't contradict its self? And if we lost stuff it would contadict itself? God put every book that he wanted in the bible. he didn't put books in there that he didn't want.

Wow interesting observation Trinity, thats neat.

There are meny books that people have said "Here, why isn't thins in the bible?" and i proved that it wasn't God's Word but a phony.

and im not going to point people out on the form here but people use other ooks besides what is in the bible and those books are fake, and do contadict the bible. So i believe God has chosen the books he wanted to go into the bible as we know it.

I know exactly what you are saying here but I will remaim "mum" on my thoughts on this.

Ps. im not saying all other books are wrong either, all im saying is that there are alot of books that people think are true but they are wrong.

There is an epistle by Mathetes (Sp?) (also an anymous name) whom many believe was one of the first apologetics writters of the time and actually decipled under Paul. Even though inspired, it is not included as scripture. I am just reading on him so dont know a whole lot at this time.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
