Dear Ayin Jade,

This is just my opinion.  If you don't like it you don't have to accept it.  DISCLAIMER:  I am not a christian.

Private interpretation is the opposite of public interpretation.  So I read the passage to mean that scriptural prophecies are meant for public interpretation, or no interpretation.  I see no analogy to any Holy Spirit.  How do you interpret that in there?

Dear JesusisGod,

This is just my opinion.  If you don't like it you don't have to accept it.  DISCLAIMER:  I am not a christian.

To answer your 2 questions:

1) Nothing is holding me back.  Nothing keeps me in a state of indecision.

2) I do not believe Jesus is real.

Regards,

UndecidedFrog

If I might answer, the bible talks about a natural man and a spiritual man. A natural man has not been born again by the spirit of God. A spiritual man has. The natural man cannot see, he cannot even comprehend the kingdom of God.

Joh 3:3  Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

When a man is born again the Spirit of God come into that man and takes up residence in him. He(the Spirit of God) starts communication with that person.

Because the natural man does not have the Holy Spirit(the Spirit of God) he cannot understand the thngs of God.

1Co 2:14  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned.

The natural man only thinks about and concerns himself with the things of flesh - the world available to his senses.

Ro 8:5  For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

To truly understand scripture one need the help of the Holy Spirit(Spirit of truth.

Joh 16:13  Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Hope this helps.

If you don't believe Jesus is real then you will never be able to understand any of The Bible, it is His story. He fulfilled all The Scriptures that were written about Him way before He was born at the rate of 100%. You can't have it both ways. It's Jesus or nothing for you. Heaven or hell for eternity.

Thanks for responding. I think it is a long stretch to accept your explanation of that passage. I certainly did not understand that from the short passage. I don't think that your interpretation of that passage is accurate.

Dear His son,

Oh my, what a circular reasoning you submitted:

1) You claim if I don't believe in Jesus, then I will never understand the bible.

2) Yet, when I ask what proof is there of Jesus, christians tell me to read the bible.

3) So, how can I understand the bible if I don't first believe in Jesus?

It may make sense to some people, but it doesn't make sense to me.

Undecided,

You state

I do not believe Jesus is real.

Do you mean "He never existed at all as a person on this earth" or " He did not rise from the grave and therefore is dead like all other men?

Sorry to jump in like this, Larryt and Undecided . . .

I am not trying to hijack this discusssion; however reading through the posts I wondered in my head UNDECIDED:

Since you do not think Larryt's interpretation is accurate.

What is the accurate interpretation ofthat scripture, in your understanding . . .?

Seriously.

Yeah, Undecided, there seems to be a lot of unclear and circular reasoning. Kind of like how people try to prove the Bible is infallible by using quotes from the Bible. I understand faith, obviously, but circular logic just confuses people or frustrates them.

How can you understand faith and not understand the bible, for faith come by hearing the word of God?

Just a few of God's statements about His Word.

Deut 8:3

3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

(KJV)

Josh 21:45

45 There failed not ought of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.

(KJV)

1 Sam 3:19-20

19 And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground.

20 And all Israel from Dan even to Beersheba knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of the LORD.

(KJV)

Prov 30:5-6

5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

(KJV)

Hi Undecided,

I do understand what you are saying here. If you truely seek God, which no offence it hard to see whether you are at this moment.

You need to go to Jesus and ask Him, chances are He will lead you into His word or He may bring to someone and have them explain Him to you.

Now I know that you say that you dont believe in Jesus, so ask God and He will lead you to the truth.

But I guarentee that He will lead you to Jesus, now what appears to be happenning is that when God has lead you to Jesus you have rejected Him in your undecissiveness.

If you read the bible with the intent to seek God, God will open His word to you saved or unsaved. Many become born again by this very act.

But if you read the bible with a view to disprove the accuracy of etc.. God will remain hidden.

The cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to those who are being saved it is the power of God.

1 Corinthians 1:18

For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

There is a time when one must make a decision, Christ will not knock at your door forever, nor is it the job of a Christian to convince you of the existance of God. We are to present the gospel to you and it is up to whether or not you recieve it or not.

If you reject it, it is time for us to move on and seek the lost.

Mark 6:11

"Any place that does not receive you or listen to you, as you go out from there,  shake the dust off the soles of your feet for a testimony against them."

the bad news is that if we have broken one of Gods commandments, we are guilty of all, and the breaking of Gods commandments requires a penalty and restitution in Gods court, which all must face one day. and the penalty is death, seperation from God from all eternity, it will be too late to make a decision when we pass from this life.

The good news is that Jesus came to earth, God in the form of man, blameless He lived, He was theh perfect man.

Jesus paid the penalty for the sin of man, all men, He died on the cross, was buried, and rose on the third day and defeated death for all those who put their faith in Him.

The gospel is simple, not complicated, here is the simplicity of the gospel

  Romans 10

8  But what does it say? "THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART"--that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,

9  that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;

10  for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

Do you believe this? Your belief really has nothing to do with you anyone on this board.

It has everything to with you and your relationship with God.

The best thing that I can tell you is that God loves you, what you do with Gods love toward you is totally up to you, This is the beauty of God, He lets you make the choice.

But be advised that your choice will affect your eternal state, either paridise or torment, there is no in between as some teach.

If you truely seek God, then ask of Him! All who come to Him He will in no way cast aside. He accepts everyone with no prejudice and forgives all no matter what the crime. The only thing that God doesnt forgive, is rejection of Him.

John 6

36  "But I said to you that you have seen Me, and yet do not believe.

37  " All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out.

38  "For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

God is calling for a decision, the time is short, today is the day for that decision, you may not have tomorrow.

2  for He says,

"AT THE ACCEPTABLE TIME I LISTENED TO YOU,

AND ON THE DAY OF SALVATION I HELPED YOU."

Behold, now is "THE ACCEPTABLE TIME," behold, now is "THE DAY OF SALVATION"--

The choice is yours, ask of God, He will direct you to the Son.

In Jesus Name,

Kevin

Hi UNDECIDED

Look I'm not trying to pick on you

you take an honest position @ your beliefs. I rspect that.

I just wanted to remark on something.

This statement for instance:

2) I do not believe Jesus is real.

Well that is also a statement of FAITH.

The aetheist has a much trouble scientifically "proving" the non existence of God as the Christian has scientfically supporting his belief.

Wherever we come down, that is our 'faith' system.

It's not about 'proving' it.

It about accepting it.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
