For Darwin Day: False Facts & Dawkins' Whopper

Darwin Day, February 12, is coming up tomorrow, and we want to do our part to mark the occasion. Much of what Charles Darwin said makes perfect sense to us and is worth celebrating.

Seriously. Take this famous quote, for instance, from Darwin's Descent of Man (1871, p. 385):

False facts are highly injurious to the progress of science, for they often endure long; but false views, if supported by some evidence, do little harm, for everyone takes a salutary pleasure in proving their falseness; and when this is done, one path towards error is closed and the road to truth is often at the same time opened.

Meet A False Fact: What Would Darwin Do (WWDD)?

Now, in the spirit of challenging false facts and views, as Darwin encourages us to do, we have a particular "false fact" in mind, used to support a false view. Both are widely promoted by Richard Dawkins, who should know better. (More about that, below.) We'll call this false fact Dawkins' Whopper....

Even as evolution theory goes, Darwin's science is archaic. It is funny that there's a Darwin's day though. I bet the concept is that whichever scientists have survived the time since last year's Darwin day must have more beneficial theories than the ones who did not.

To start with im not amused, I despair at your lack of thought...... you shout out these phrases or arguments again and again without thinking about them, you throw scripture at Atheists thinking that we will suddenly see the light...... Every argument you make comes from trying to make truth of copies of copies of translations of ancient documents with multiple authors

I am Perfectly willing to accept any sort of evidence you can give me, Im also perfectly willing to say that I am wrong with something .......... But for your sake if not mine don't just throw out lines like "Just look at what that evolutionary lie" without thinking about what you are saying.

Let me ask you two questions.

1. Is Science the best method we have at the moment to work out how things exist in our world..... plants, rocks trees life elements etc.

2. If evolutionary science is so wrong ..... why is it still studied worked on and scientific predictions using it proven and shown every day.

1. I believe science shows how thing work in the world.

2. origin science is wrong. You probably don't believe that there is a spiritual battle going and satan does not want you to believe in a Creator God.

2. Was he an Atheist?

3.Wouldn't an atheist be closed minded about anything pointing to a Creator God?

4. Wouldn't an athiest try to project his worldview?

We tend to look for evidence where it matches closest to our belief system. I've been on both sides of the fence. The next time you read information about origins notice these words of doubt: theories, possibly, could have, may have, etc...
