Because of this relationship, the two are connected and understanding one can influence the model of the other. However, disproving abiogenesis doesn't disprove evolution. Whether life got here by purely natural means or God made the first cell out of nothing, dirt or what else have you, doesn't prevent or hinder evolution once life is here. Likewise, disproving evolution doesn't disprove abiogenesis. If evolution was found to be false, it doesn't follow that any one of the hypotheses/theories of abiogenesis (even models that haven't been thought up yet) isn't true. It doesn't change the status that life could have gotten here through purely natural means to special creation.

Newton was also wrong in some of his conclusions, that does not take an inch out of his genius.

It is a fact that Einstein never accepted the philosophical consequences of quantum mechanics,

which introduces probability and non-determinism in fundamental physics. The sentence "God does not play with dice"

was an attack to the non-deterministic nature of the quantum world. He spent half of his intellectual life trying

to disprove this view, without success.

In the meantime, quantum mechanics has become the most successful theory in the history of physics. And the

model that is confirmed by such jaw dropping experimental precision is fundamentally non deterministic or,

in other words, it is fundamentally random.

For instance, it does not make any sense to say that an electron goes from A to B following a certain trajectory.

The electron follows all possible trajectories at the same time in all possible ways. This electron has a non zero

probability to be found in Houston, on Andromeda, on the other side of the Universe, etc. on its trip to B.

This is the model that Einstein never accepted. A normal person could think this is completely crazy, but

the problem is that this model is validated by experiment with an extremely high precision and, therefore,

there is no reason not to consider it valid.

And BTW: Eintein never believed in a personal God (e.g. answering prayers), so I guess you will also

admit that He was not infallible ;-)

However it spurred the young Karl Popper to put forward his own way of telling apart science (of which the exemplar was the new physics) from pseudoscience (of which the exemplars were Marxism and Freudianism). Popper also accepted the legitimacy of metaphysical statements, but denied they were any part of science. Popper's view (a variety of logical empiricism) was called 'falsificationism', and in its mature versions held that something is scientific just so far as it

is liable to be falsified by data,

is tested by observation and experiment, and

makes predictions.

Real Scientists Make Predictions. This was the True Scientific Method. A minor quibble should be dealt with - Popper knew that the Falsification Principle could not be falsified. It was openly metaphysical. In this context, it makes sense why a pro-evolutionist like Popper called Darwinism a metaphysical research program. It was no more falsifiable (he thought) than the view that mathematics describes the world, and it was just as basic to modern biology [Popper 1974: sect 37].

The spanner in the works was first thrown by sociologists and historians of science, including Robert Merton, and later Thomas Kuhn. Kuhn's book [1962] in particular set the cat among the pigeons. If Popper thought that what he was doing was distilling the essence of science into a set of proscriptions, Kuhn and others observed that no science in fact looks like this model.

According to Kuhn, you can't even compare when one theory is better than another scientifically, for each global theory carries its own assessment methods. Change from one global theory to another is more akin to a religious conversion than a rational decision. Science only changes when the older theory can't cope with some arbitrary number of anomalies, and is in 'crisis'. When this happens, the scientific community acts like someone looking at those dual-aspect pictures like the famous old crone/young woman picture. They 'snap' from one view to another, what Kuhn called a 'paradigm shift'. Science undergoes revolutions, and the only way to determine if something is scientific is to see what scientists do (there is an obvious circularity here).

Darwin's theory of evolution has to be the biggest hoax put upon mankind. In the atheist's desire to discredit the belief in God and creation, they have made numerous fraudulent attempts to prove their antichrist theory. Ann Coulter wtites in Godless:

William Provine, an evolutionary biologist at Cornell University, calls Darwinism the greatest engine of atheism devised by man. This is why there is mass panic on the left whenever someone mentions the vast and accumulated evidence against evolution.

Just to clean the palate of a century of evolutionists' browbeating everyone into saying evolution is a FACT and we'll see you in court if you criticize the state religion. We begin with a story from the late Colin Patterson, respected paleontologist at the Natural History Museum in London. Like Diogenes searching for one honest man, Patterson was on a quest to find someone who could tell him-as he puts it--"anything you know about evolution, any one thing, any one thing that you think is true." Patterson said, "I tried that queation on the geology staff at the Field Museum of Natural History, and the only answer I got was silence. I tried it on the members of the Evolutionary Morphology Seminar in the University of Chicago, a very prestigious body of evolutionists, and all I got there was silence for a very long time.

Darwin's Theory of Evolution says life on earth began with single celled life forms, which evolved into multi-celled life forms, including man, all as the result of the chance process of random mutation followedby natural selection, without guidance or assistance from any intelligent entity like God."

Crick realized that the spontaneous evolution of life could not be reconciled with the facts. As he said, "The probability of life could not be reconciled with the facts. As he said, "The probability of life originating at random is so utterly miniscule as to make it absurd."

Lehigh University biochemist Michael Behe discusses the evidence against evolution in his 1996 book Darwin's Black Box.

Behe produced various "irreducibly complex" mechanisms, of which there are thousands--complex cellular structures, blood-clotting mechanisms, and the eye, among others. A bacterial motor called flagellum, depends on the coordinated interaction of 30-40 complex protein parts. The absence of almost any one of the parts would render the flagellum useless.

An animal cell's whip like oar, called a cilium, is composed of about 200 protein parts. If anyone of the parts is missing, then there is no working animal. Behe concluded that life at the molecular level, "is a loud, clear, piercing cry of design."

Atheists Sir Fred Hoyle and Chandra Wickramasinghe came to a similar conclussion as Behe. Both are award-winning scientists. After calc ulating the possibility of life being created according to Darwin's hypothesis, they concluded that the odds were 1 to 40,000 zeros, or "so utterly miniscule" as to make Darwin's theory of evolution absurd. Hoyle said a "common sense interpretation of the facts" is that "a super intellect has monkeyed with physics, as well as with chemistry and biology and that there are no blind forces worth speaking about in nature." His calculations from the facts, he said "seem to me so overwhelming as to put this conclusion almost beyond question."

After five hundred million years of fossil records there is not one fossil to support Darwin. After a century of his theory, it is still a theory, because there is not one fact supporting it. So, the atheists are left with their fraudulent attempts to prove the theory.

The first fraud was the Piltdown Man, supposedly found, in England in 1912. It was suppose to be the long lost missing link. Not ape, not man. The science community proclaimed it the physical proof of Darwin's Theory. Confirmed by experts such as Arthur Smith Woodward, the leading geologist at the British Museum (Natural History), the creature was named Eoanthropus dawson, after its discoverer. The Piltdown man, taught as scientific fact for over forty years in the public schools, was a fraud.

In 1953, radiocarbon dating exposed the Piltdown man. The skull turned out to be from a thousand-year-old human fossil and the jaw from a modern orangutan. They stained the jaw with potassium bichromate to make it look aged and filed the teeth down to make them look more human.

The next case of fraud also came from England. It was the case of the peppered moth. Due to the soot in England, black moths supposedly had evolved to protect themselves from predators so they could blend on the sooty trees. They postulated that light moths against sooty tree trunks, were easily spotted by birds and eaten, while the dark moths evaded predators, and survived to reproduce.

For the next fifty years, the peppered moth experiment was a major part of the "mountain of evidence" for evolution referred to by Scientific American and taught in school textbooks.

It turned out that the light moths were physically place on black tree trunks in the day and photographed. As described in the New York Times, "The most famous example of evolution in action now must be the most infamous."--Source Ann Coulter's Godless

I don't know if I can find one of these sections to be rational let alone true. Anne Coulter, one of my favorite conservatives, should stick to law and politics. She clearly knows nothing about science (she has previously claimed no one died of radiation poisoning at Chernoble). Fred Hoyle, a mathematician, knew nothing about biochemistry or biology and was spectacularly wrong in his calculations. The Piltdown Man, contrary to creationist claims, was not universally accepted when it was found. All the examples cited in the Behe section have been proven to be false many times over, they are all reducible. Wiith regard to the Crick quote, you left out the fact that he believed life was shipped here by aliens. As far as the peppered moth story, it was claimed to be fraudulent by Jonathan Wells, a creationist-Moonie (how does this work?) These claims were false and based on mischaracterizations by Wells in his book.
