The Law is the Law

So if the US government determines that it is against the law for the words "under God" to be on our money, then, so be it. And if that same government decides that the "Ten Commandments" are not to be used in or on a government installation, then, so be it.

And since they already have prohibited any prayer in the schools, on which they deem their authority, then so be it.

I say, "so be it," because I would like to be a law abiding US citizen.

I say, "so be it," because I would like to think that smarter people than I are in positions to make good decisions.

I would like to think that those people have the American Publics' best interests at heart.

BUT, YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE I'D LIKE?

Since we can't pray to God, can't Trust in God and cannot Post His Commandments in Government buildings, I don't believe the Government and it's employees should participate in the Easter and Christmas celebrations which honor the God that our government is eliminating from many facets of

American life.

I'd like my mail delivered on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter. After all, it's just another day.

I'd like the US Supreme Court to be in session on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter as well as Sundays. After all, it's just another day.

I'd like the Senate and the House of representatives to not have to worry about getting home for the "Christmas Break." After all it's just another day.

I'm thinking that a lot of my taxpayer dollars could be saved, if all government offices & services would work on Christmas, Good Friday & Easter.

It shouldn't cost any overtime since those would be just like any other day of the week to a government that is trying to be "politically correct".

In fact.... I think that our government should work on Sundays (initially set aside for worshiping God...) because, after all, our government says that

it should be just another day....

What do you all think???? If this idea gets to enough people, maybe our elected officials will stop giving in to the minority opinions and begin, once again, to represent the majority of ALL of the American people. So be it..........

Interesting idea...I think your government has already hi-jacked Christmas and centred its celebrations around a white-bearded jolly fatguy in a red and white suit. Easter is also one of the governments main festivals all to do with cute chocolate bunnies and easter egg hunts...so to suggest these are not important will be truely rocking the boat (they are also very commercial).

The majority? I seriously doubt it.

I would like our government to understand that they can remove our Lord from the schools, from the courts, from our holidays, from the face of government itself - but they can never remove him from my heart. I will continue to worship the Lord my God despite what my government declares because this one thing which they don't understand;

1 Cor. 3:19 - For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God's sight. ...."The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile."

Col. 2:20-22 - Since you (I) died with Christ to the basic principles of this world, why, as though you still belonged to it, do you submit to its rules. "Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!" These are all destined to perish with use because they are based on human commands and teachings.

I Pet.2:9 - But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you might declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

I am in this world but not of this world. I would like my government to know that no matter who is president, no matter the laws they pass, no matter the silly, trivial ideologies they encompass, they can never separate me from the love of God. This is not my home. I am that alien, that stranger, my home is in heaven and no government, however mighty, however great or powerful, will never free itself from God's sovereignty, his power, his will and his judgment.

In other words, why sweat the small stuff? God rules!!!!

I think its a great idea!! The government should be consistent in its desire to not acknowledge God.

My husband is gone have to quit his 13 year job as a teacher just because 3 years ago (as an history teacher) he refused to take this verse from his boars:

Galatas 6:7

" Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap".

It has to do with a holocaust video that he showed his students on that same week were at the and of the movie the nazies got what they deserved. Some jews got hands on one of the nazie guards and tourtured him a little.

On the same week my husband was teaching about the rise of Christianity.

How can anybody teach about the rise of christianity in the Middle East without mention Paul's teaching?

He has a trial on the 28th of this month no lawer wants to take his case. It will take a miracle so the judge decide in his favor.

I ask you all for prayers.

We have already decided to shake the dust of our feets, we are going(God wiling) to take the position my husband was offered to become the curriculum builder for a missionary christian school in Haiti for three years. Because our government had turned his back on the american children, taken the Bible of the school lybraries and forbiding our teachers to talk about God by treathining to take their jobs if they do so.

If they don't want God here, there are other nation thursting for God.

My husband and I are crushed by this, but not distroyed, we are more than conquers in Christ Jesus,

If the goverment cancels all the Christian's 'special days' then Christians may have to work against their conscience.

To be fair they should include everyones 'special days'. I don't mind more holidays.

Anyway He said it would be like this towards the end. The great falling away is now rolling along quite nicely and building up a head of steam.

The reality is one of justice denied, greed and corruption, sexual promisuity and the sacrifice of our babies to convenience. There is a limit to the depths He allows us to decend. We are at that point where He starts to get mad! But there is worse to come.

We are Ambassodors representing another Kingdom. Why get upset at what the darkness gets up to? It will start to appear as if they won but we know better as God's children and we should be expectant of the victory.

We must except how the society developes around us and work in that. Paul did. He did not complain about being in the chains of the most powerful. What he did was work within and he turned the place upside down. All the saints send you greetings, especially those who belong to Caesar's household. Php 4:22. God thumbs His nose at the kings of the earth.

I don't know what to pray for suzangimbel. I do pray that He strengthens you all at this time and bless you and keep you all safe.

Nice one But for Him. Why sweat any of it it is a time of oppotunity?

We are a Royal Priesthood and we need to realise that. Nothing can stop Him who has all power in Heaven and Earth.

They will not make us cower. We are the sons and daughters of the Most High and we carry authority with us. No one tells us anything we tell them. We are the Owners sons and daughters, everything belongs to us.

They will probably chop us into small pieces mind.

These are, after all, laws made by men. And, we are commanded to obey our leaders--they couldn't be where they are if God didn't permit it.

I admit to being concerned about the degree to which our nation is slipping into moral turpitude, but this is someone else's choice not mine. I choose God, and will continue to let my light shine even if everyone around me loves darkness.

After all, we serve the true Lawgiver.

i also agree w/ But for Him, there could never be enough legislation to TRULY 'stop' Christianity! i am reminded of Jesus w/ the woman at the well. this part in particular:

"... yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipersthe Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."

we are not only praying when we bow our heads and close our eyes, nor are we only worshiping in church on sunday's! the world does not understand that Christ is IN us!!!! legislation is weak in stopping believers from praying or worshiping! they do not understand this, nor can they!
