But it was too late to save the 14-year-old girl. Her fellow villagers in Bangladesh's Shariatpur district had already passed harsh judgment on her. Guilty, they said, of having an affair with a married man. The imam from the local mosque ordered the fatwa, or religious ruling, and the punishment: 101 lashes delivered swiftly, deliberately in public. Hena dropped after 70. Bloodied and bruised, she was taken to hospital, where she died a week later. Amazingly, an initial autopsy report cited no injuries and deemed her death a suicide. Hena's family insisted her body be exhumed. They wanted the world to know what really happened to their daughter. Full Story

I can see the married man's conversation now. Gee officer, I'm innocent, if that girl wasn't alive, I wouldn't of had sex with her, it could of happen to anybody. Isn't there times you just feel like beating some heads together?

Sadly, it appears the percentage of Muslims who are moderate is such a small number that it is insignificant. Blessings! -Ed

Ain't that the truth if we are not all careful we will be riding the babylon/beast train before we all know it. These people are cowards hiding while a child is beat to death! I am really tired of hearing about 'moderate' muslims, a moderate christian is usually called lukewarm which we see Messiah said He would rather us not be. I see the muslims the same way one is either a firm believer or one is wishwashy that does what is told of them including ignoring the screams and cries of a child. Islam condones this kind of thing because women are of no value in their society. You'll never see or hear a muslim condeming a fatwa or any religious edict by an imam. They are not allowed to criticize the elders and only do so on pain of death. It's a jacked up religion and way of life and all who embrace it are doomed to spend eternity with satan; a.k.a. 'allah'.
