Guest shiloh357
It was a truly amazing speech. He got 29 standing ovations, more than Obama got during the State of the Union address. I think he made Israel's case very well.

I thought exactly the same thing. Funny how our minds work alike. Seriously though, I thought that it was an outstanding speech and I was so happy for all those standing ovations he recieved. BTW, I sure do miss you MorningGlory. I have been trying for a long time to get in touch with you, sister. Did you ever recieve my messages? I sure hope that I did nothing to offend you. If I did, please forgive me. I'd love to hear from you. We were corresponding for awhile, but then I suddenly and mysteriously no longer heard from you anymore. Please pm me, okay? Above all it was compassionate, realistic, robust and uncompromising in the way all issues were addressed squarely with due consideration and humility so that after hearing this no one can accuse Israel of not wanting to broker peace, or of hating the Palestinians...it is quite the opposite, but they have yet to find a partner amongst the Arabs, who will truly extend the hand of friendship and peace and recognise Israel (probably a death sentence). Personally I don't think they will find one, or if they do it will merely be a fleeting, transient deviation...but I understand from a political platform the possibility has to be explored to its fullest possibility. Hearing Mr Netanyahu made me proud to be a supporter of his nation, and re-confirmed that Israel is the only true democracy in the Middle-East....I was also really impressed at the warmth of his welcome from Congress, and the way in which his speech and his points were so evidently agreed upon with such unity amongst those listening to him. Have you seen this from 1978? It's a young Netanyahu speech from when he was 28. youtube /watch?v=fM_n1ZARO2I

Two words: Anwar Sadat. Lol...dead blokes don't count....and didn't he have a death sentence! Besides I should have qualified my statement by saying Palestinian Arabs....I am always reluctant to use the word Palestinian as I don't accept there is such an entity, but it seems one has very little choice.
