FresnoJoe: Beloved Jesus Shed His Holy Blood So He Can Clean You Up

UndecidedFrog: I do not want anyone to shed any blood to clean me up. The idea grosses me out.

OldEnglishSheepdog: You're worried Jesus' blood, spilled two thousand years ago, is going to gross you out?

UndecidedFrog: No, I am not worried about blood being spilt 2000 years ago. What would gross me out is if anyone spilt any blood in front of me.

I find it interesting that since Christ's crucifixion the world seems to have realized this. Animal sacrifices have largely stopped, when it used to be practiced by pretty much every culture.

It does not look like your claim has any basis. I did not have much time to go back through the 2000 years, so I stopped at 2009 AD (two years ago) and 20 seconds google:). That does not look like it largely stopped at all LOL

He said largely not completely.

How many times will I have to point out that bragging about how little time someone spends on a google searches does not make for a meaningful contribution, I wonder.

Some christian reminded me of a little piece of wisdom in another thread, whose corollary also applies:

Rule #1: Do not personally attack the christian.

Rule #2: Claim victory and walk away when the christian insults you.

Thank you for providing me with another fine example of your special christian attitude towards me, OES.

I always appreciate such fine examples of christian attitude wherever and whenever I encounter it.

Actually OES said that you were acting like an idiot, not one. Second of all. He was pointing out the completely illogical response you put forth. You have made better arguments that that, and this one was grasping at straws.

Hi Isaiah,

Thanks for the clarification.

So, if I were to claim that you are acting like an idiot, you won't consider that an insult?

I am thinking I am beginning to understand what apologetic mental gymnastics is all about.

Hi Steven,

If you love me enough, you will tell the truth when I ask you:

Do you consider this an insult?: You are acting like an idiot.

I shall learn much from your answer.

Wow no pressure on friendships!!! It is hard to divide the acting from the being but in this regard... I do not believe it to be an insult-

For I have read OES and have many times admired his strength in logic and knowledge of God's Word! He was, with all of what He is, to reason with you the identities in which He believes would establish faith within you and by believing turn you from death toward life! Your apparent dodge of this only substantiated his belief! His frustration is you cannot see you are manipulated by forces you have grew up in and those forces are directing influences of lies and distortions of truth affecting reality. We fight more with the spiritual darkness that holds you than with you UF! You have with me many times joked off important issues cause it leads you to a place where you must concede there is more to The God subject than just fantasy! You don't seem to understand the people we are UF! We believe and live that belief. For to us it is life as it should be lived and within a Spiritual presence of Being that can answer our private requests... so much so that we are furthered into our faith and we are made certain of the reality of eternal torments that are coming! The more we give of ourselves to you the more we become concerned for that which you joke away! I certainly will have no pleasure in your finding out after death when choice through faith is gone! I can tell you none of us want to belittle you, degrade you or any other harmful thing. What you experience from us is extreme concern for your wellbeing!

The why of my answer comes in a question- why would he try to drive away that which we want to see drawn toward us? I would like to introduce the black spirit (we are at war with) within you that wispers that lie to try to separate you further from the truth by removing perhaps the only influence around you for God 'US'...This is why I don't think insult... I think He's saying: man you've got a brain just use it and reason in solid evidience that is presented to you because we were where you are now UF! I don't think you realize we are all converted because of Biblical evidence and honest science!

Love, Your Friend, Steven

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
