Only Because Of Jesus This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. Why do their people devise useless plots? Kings take their stands. Rulers make plans together against the LORD and against his Messiah by saying, "Let's break apart their chains and shake off their ropes." The Father Laughs At Them And He Will Put His Son In Jerusalem Town The one enthroned in heaven laughs. The Lord makes fun of them. Then he speaks to them in his anger. In his burning anger he terrifies them by saying, "I have installed my own king on Zion, my holy mountain." I will announce the LORD's decree. He said to me: "You are my Son. Today I have become your Father. Ask me, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance and the ends of the earth as your own possession. You will break them with an iron scepter. Maybe have your vocation that puts enough worldly knowledge in your mind as it is and prune the the rest... 2Co_10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; Obviously this thread is not against God, but maybe why do we need to know this? Pro_27:5 Open rebuke is better than secret love. 1Co_3:18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. 1Co_3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. 1Co_3:20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.
