Thank for the Post DAN, I'm really starting to SEE the QURAN for what it is, And the dilemma of the good people who are stuck in the Islam religion, I would think that the CHRISTIANITY would be GLADLY EMBRACED by many WOMEN of the ISLAMIC religion if it were not for the FEAR of being BEATEN daily or worse. Also I can see why MUSLIMS have a hard time SPEAKING OUT AGAINST ATROCITIES because it would be speaking AGAINST WHAT IS WRITTEN, Like the Right hand speaking against the LEFT hand of the same person. I guess the only alternative would be to leave and seek another religion.............TAKO

Has anybody ever read the whole Koran? It's worth it so you can look at it contextually and not just line by line. There are certainly lines in the Bible that make non-Christians gasp in shock.

By the way, I'm in the middle of Reading Lolita in Tehran and I recommend it to everyone...it's great and really gives perspective on the situation of women in Iran.

Georgesbluegirl,

These crimes are going on today at an alarming rate. They are well documented. It seems the Muslim men don't read all of the Q'uran. Whippings and Honor killings take place on a regular basis in the name of God. No matter what the whole book says. Much of the culture interprets it as the article above shows. Women in some Islamic countries are treated like slaves or animals. Its an undisputable fact that this sadistic treatment is common place. In many cases it's the women who sound the alarm.

Islam rejects Christ as God and teaches that any one from any other belief is an infidel. This is a fact. Many moderate muslims will tell you that the Q'uran teaches this. Islamic law is dangerous. Jews, Christians, Hindus, Buddhist what ever are infidels and should convert or die. Read how Mohammed converted people along with his war lors Ali.

Heh, don't be so snarky. Yes, I'm perfectly well aware of all the human rights atrocities that go on in many fundamentalist (key word) Islamic countries - it's despicable and I was in no way trying to excuse it. Obviously. Trust me, there are lots of people, liberal and conservative alike, who work against this and you'll find plenty of feminists more than a bit peeved over it! Of course, it's hard to bash it out of people's heads when it's been ingrained for so long. Sigh.

Wow, I didn't know such a little question would touch such a nerve.

All I'm saying is if there are feminists (NOW, ect.) who are angered at the treatment of these women and girls I haven't heard a peep from them. Why? They are usually very outspoken.

If a man goes to hit a woman here, chances are that the woman will kick his butt all over town and then tell his friends that she wooped upon him. Or if a man hits the woman, the woman's family will settle the matter by holding a "midnight party" with the man as the "guest of honor".

The other day my 13 year old daughter was threatened with being beat up by a much larger, older boy from just down the street. She warned him that if she told her brothers of the threat (ages 14 and 16, very muscular, athletic, and confident) that he would be speaking to them, and he (in fear) backed off, having not realized that they were her brothers.

My sons love the Lord, but I taught them that they can not stand by and passively allow any weaker one to be mistreated under their watch, that a real Christian does not just say, a real Christian also does, not retaliation, not revenge, but certainly exercise the necessary efforts to cause the danger to a weaker one to stop, and they know how, I made sure of that.

Two days ago, I drove down the road and this same young man was standing at the edge of the road, and I stopped and mentioned the report that my daughter had given, and I asked him to please not push this, as my sons might get over zealous, and I want peace. He was very polite, yes sir, no sir, thank you sir, and I was also polite and respectful to him, but I wanted him to know that I knew of the threat, I knew that the boys would certainly respond, and we really don't want things to go this way, do we? He agreed.

Where are the godly men to stand up and speak up against such evil? The problem with put up or shut up is sometimes you can't be just bluffing, you will need to stand your ground and that is really the problem even in the current election. Of the two candidates, if one told me he was going to kick my tail if I didn't behave, I would certainly take him at his word, he has a track record, the other one I wouldn't let bother me.

God is sending real men and women into the Muslim countries to preach and teach, and they are very much aware that they risk torture and death, yet they go, and because there are still these kind of Christians in the earth, there is still hope for the nations blanketed by this evil.

I agree. Which is way we must be on guard from these people. If you look at the really major conflicts today, Islam has a hand in them. I believe Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus can live together without major killing each other. But I can't say the same for Muslims. "Context" or not, wife beating verses should not be in any religious book. It is in the Q'uran and it's not just the radicals that subscribe to that point of view. Mohammad was a poligomist as are many of his modern followers. I guess I just have some real problems with Islam.

And another thing about Islam. The men terrorist get 72 virgins if they die for Allah. What do the women get? 72 ZZ TOP lookin nasty hairy mullahs who carry whips? Oh Joy!!! Im sorry but women get a bad deal in Islam. Its the men who should wear the vail. I hope The love of Jesus will overtake all of Islam and drive it backdown into the pit it came from. Jesus is what they all need. Not the chains if Mohammed.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
