Faster-than-light neutrino claim bolstered

21:15 23 September 2011 by Lisa Grossman

Representatives from the OPERA collaboration spoke in a seminar at CERN today, supporting their astonishing claim that neutrinos can travel faster than the speed of light.

The result is conceptually simple: neutrinos travelling from a particle accelerator at CERN in Switzerland arrived 60 nanoseconds too early at a detector in the Gran Sasso cavern in Italy. And it relies on three conceptually simple measurements, explained Dario Autiero of the Institute of Nuclear Physics in Lyon: the distance between the labs, the time the neutrinos left Switzerland, and the time they arrived in Italy.

Faster Than The Speed Of Light… OPERA Update

by Tammy Plotner on September 24, 2011

A few days ago, the physics world was turned upside down at the announcement of “faster than the speed of light”. The mighty neutrino has struck again by breaking the cosmic speed limit and traveling at a velocity 20 parts per million above light speed. To absolutely verify this occurrence, collaboration is needed from different sources and we’re here to give you the latest update.

“This result comes as a complete surprise,” said OPERA spokesperson, Antonio Ereditato of the University of Bern. “After many months of studies and cross checks we have not found any instrumental effect that could explain the result of the measurement. While OPERA researchers will continue their studies, we are also looking forward to independent measurements to fully assess the nature of this observation.”

Ok, so does this mean that Einstine was wrong, or can we build time machines and send data back in time?

Well, as off the wall as this is, it does make more sense to me than does evolution...... but not much. LoL

I have been suspicious of the limit of speed set forth by light... of course one may not determine the understanding of 'twinkling of the eye'.... but it seems that distance is a non-concern! As God speaks so is it unalterable, a thing set in motion by God's Word, it will not cease by an apparent limit... We may try to understand this by mass, however it comes with limits, by space but that is assigned to mass, but time that comes without begin or end -'IS'-. It's meter Lies in The Person of Our God and by faith we may understand unattainable due to it's very nature of 'outside' of all we have began in but in science we demand the created limit to explain that outside of creation as Our Creator ... As God increases our knowledge Dan 12:4 we will find not only a inescapable limit set forth upon ourselves that is increasing due to His Word, (I believe this to be His(realized) Hand upon us), but also increasing into an unlimited witness of existence outside of the understood by the things within that are around us... Rom 1

For Me it is like looking upon the Majesty of God and His good pleasure! The 'IS' as HE travels with us and opens wonders upon wonders without end ... even if I were to be transformed by His Gifts to me, so that, I was to be considered by man greatest among man in achievement-> would I not still be the same as the least- 'man'- but the transformed heart knows from where that, which has made us special, truly lies! In the very One Who has given us His Heart so that the foolishness of pride is revealed in it's foolishness of evaluating within the limits (the created form) but in the wisdom of Essence (Spirit) we have a mark that exceeds even that of angels a mark, in faith, in a journey, of never quite arriving yet already arrived at in Him! In our consuming of Him we are consumed...

Just a note to the evolutionary aspect of belief which says there is no God... You are using time as a substance to affirm your belief in nothingness. Your plausibility has exceeded corporeal time into infinite proportions and the simple cell will not affirm, within itself, the infinite as no begin and no end...

For the rest that see Our Lord's Creation as that which leads us to a further truth of Him ... His Word of truth is fulfilled within You in these last of days!

Love, Steven
