This problem keeps popping up. Maybe some of you can shed some light on the subject.

I love to pass out tracts whenever I have opportunity. Sometimes I just go down a busy street and give one to everyone I see, other times I see someone I know needs Jesus and ask them if they would take one. The tracts have a complete book of John so they not only have a tract, but also the gospel to read in case they have no Bible. The problem I keep running into is with men I witness to. It is really wierd. Almost every time I ask a strange man if he would take a tract, and then I personally ask if he knows Jesus, he asks me for a ride in my car?!

For example, I just recently gave a track to a man who reaked of alcohol. I could not walk away without asking him if he would like to know Jesus. He looked homeless as well. I prayed with him right there on the street, then as I began to walk away, he asked me for a ride. (he had a bicycle sitting next to him loaded with stuff). I did not feel it would be wise to let him in my car, so I said no. Then I felt really bad for him because he walked away with a shrug as if to say, "Some Christian you are. All talk no show."

How can I convey I am truly concerned about them, yet not offer to let them in my car? I have a couple times actually said yes, and driven someone home. One man several years ago did invite the Lord into his heart, but I felt like he was just saying the words. Yet, he never asked me for money, address or anything else. Your feed back would be greatly welcome, and your prayers. Pray for the man I just recently prayed for. His name was Charles. His condition broke my heart.

Hmm......you could stick with witnessing to other females unless you really know God wants you to witness to a specific one

do you think these males are genuinely converted or just enjoy talking about

God with a female?

my gift is evangelism, too

One time I was bringing a number of middle school girls from lower income families to church. I would always try to reach out to their families. Well, I had two dads who wanted to come to church as well. But my husband does not come to church, and felt for appearances sake, and also because I didn't know how my husband would like it, that I better arrange other rides for the men. The mens intertest in going to church waned. They never came. I still think they are were seeking Jesus in some way, though.

I think not giving rides is safe. who knows what kinda people they are. I would advise against it. There is nothing to feel bad abot for not giving them rides. Better be safe then sorry. They could have a wepon or be on drugs and hurt you. Be Very Careful around those people.

When I've done street ministry I usually walked and handed out tract, but would only share Jesus with the ppl that the Holy Spirit leaded me too. One man did ask for money for some food.

I told the man that I will, but first let me share with you a special kind of food.

Just by looking at the man I could tell that he lived on the street, because he had everything he owned with him. I shared with him all about Jesus, and the presence of the Holy Spirit was so strong. Jesus used me as a vessel to lead this broken man to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Then I took the man and we went together to a food place and ate together.

I gave the man a local pastor's name so he can get more spiritual food and help to get back on his feet.

When I go into place I usually pray before I go and Jesus usually lets me know if it's safe or not safe. So, I make sure I listen to him.

Hope this helps!!

There are many people, who will use ecuses like that to take advantage of people all the time. We see Jesus when he feed the 5000 did not feed them every meal every day all the time, just once and a while, I will guess some people the next day said, some Jesus he is, he feed us yesterday and won't today. Or, I don't like fish, with all that power he could have feed us something else too.

I worked the prisons and the streets for over 10 year and the street people will cheat and take advantage of you any and every chance they can. We can get though to some, but we should never, and I mean never.

Take them exactly at thier word, they are trained on how to tell Chrsitians what they want to hear to get what they want.

Give them money ever

Do more than we had planned to do, unless we know for sure God is telling us to do it.

What could you have done?? where did he want to go, how far away was it ?

He had a bike, was it that hard for him to merely ride?

Or if you wanted to help him get there, call him a cab and pay for the cab ride there if safey was an issue.

Normally they will have all sorts of reasons for you to give them money, I could write a book from the stories I have heard

Pray for discernment sister. But I would never advise you giving a ride to the opposite sex, even though i believe you are doing God's will by witnessing and Lord knows we need more in the field. Mat 9:37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly [is] plenteous, but the labourers [are] few; by the way I have read that about 80 people per minute step out into eternity! Oh that our prayer would be. Psa 2:8 Ask of me, and I shall give [thee] the heathen [for] thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth [for] thy possession. God bless you sister I will be praying for you! :t2:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
