Except, Hamburgers, we areoverly bombarded with it.

And we aren't being taught the true value of it, the emotional bonds it creates, the consequences of sex-without-commitment (aside from risk of disease), why it's better to wait, etc.

We are certainly overly bombarded by sex.

When it comes to being taught the true value of it though, isn't that something that should start in the family? I feel like those sorts of values need to be coming from us (parents/families) instead of society itself.

Unfortunately, the media is "preaching" free-for-all, no consequences, etc.

To truly understand sex biblically, one must understand the relationship of the temporal that can be seen to the eternal which cannot be seen. God created the creation specifically to show and explain that which we cannot see by that which we can. The sexual relationship a man has with his wife is the picture of becoming 'one' spirit with the Lord when we are filled with the Holy Spirit. To pervert this by making in casual and without meaning or to make it a lie by the participants being of the same sex is an abomination unto God. If a man and woman come together and completely give themselves one to another in love, it is completely possible to experience each others climaxes as if they were your own truly becoming one flesh. Just as it is truly possible to experience God through the spirit as you walk with him daily in love. Only sin can separate one and have the vale replace upon the holiest of holies of the heart.
