You are in direct fullfillment of the commandment of the Christ. Love one another even as I have loved you. And his love was to suffer our sins upon himself.

Yes, God loves us but hates our sins, yet if we die in our sins we will be apart from him. Accepting our siblings is one thing, accepting their sins is completely different. Love and help each one when needed so as to better share our Lord with them. Praying for this situation Waiting2BwithHim.

I would be interested to hear your take on this scripture. What does Jesus mean by saying, "if you were blind you should have no sin?"

John 9:41

King James Version (KJV)

41Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth

Hi childeye, Jesus only said what he heard the Father say and only did what he saw the Father do. The blindness spoken of in this passage of scripture refers to the 'eyes' of their understanding that were opened in the Garden of Eden. They are the 'eyes' that makes one like God but not a god but rather enmity with God. It is only when we close or blind these eyes and do that which is right in our Fathers eyes only, then we have no sin. Our sin comes from doing what is right in our own 'eyes'.

In Jesus Name,

Gary

Thanks for your response. That is an interesting take. I believe the blindness is the blindness to the Truth. That Truth being God's standard of Love and therefore the trusrworthiness of His Character and therefore His Holiness. I believe this blindness entered in when mankind doubted the integrity of God's person when they believed the slander of Satan that preceded disobedience in the Garden of Eden. For I believe they would have never disobeyed if they knew to trust God. I am saying that mankind accepted a corrupt image of god through a subtle presentation made by Satan. For we are made in God's Image and so whatever image of god we hold true defines our moral nature. Consequently if we hold a corrupt image of God to be true, we ourselves are corrupt.

The image sown by Satan is of a god that holds power by keeping things away from us that would make us equal. And this blindness is cured by seeing the Christ and believing on him who is the True image of God, and whose death on the cross exhibits God's Love. For he became sin so that we may become the righteousness of God. I believe all sin is based upon this lie about God's character and the Truth of Christ sets us free.

So it is he suffered the cross and said, "forgive them because they know noit what they do". I believe they truly did not know what they were doing because they were blind. Consequently they should have forgiveness because they don't see. The Pharisees thinking sin happens because people do see and know what they are doing are therefore hypocrrits. For those who think they sin because they simply decide to, do not hunger for righteousness. Hence Jesus said if you were blind you should have no sin but because you say we see your sin remains.

1 Corinthians 2:7-9

King James Version (KJV)

7But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

8Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

John 9:39

King James Version (KJV)

39And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

Childeye ,I am curious as to understanding of repentance and salvation.

The way I see it is that I can be sure repentance is turning around as in reversing direction. But more importantly defining what we are turning away from and turning towards would more properly define repentance. For Jesus said repent and we know to repent from our sins, but defining sin is yet problematic in some respects. I would define sin as a direction away from God while others might define it as tresspassing against the laws of God. Jesus was accused many times by the "authorities" of tresspasses, and even crucified for blaspheme yet he had no sin. Moreover Jesus spoke about the weightier matters of the law being about mercy and understanding.

Ultimately, I believe in an everlasting kingdom without corruption. And those who live there would never willingly disobey God because they were absolutely convinced that to do so would never improve their station or happiness, but would only bring pain and sorrow. Those who preach freewill therefore muddy the waters if indeed they say a man must have the freedom to disobey God to be free.

Salvation is like being healed or brought to life from the dead. I believe the death God talked about inherent in the knowledge of good and evil is the mutual destruction of one another because in self-righteousness we hypocritically condemn others for things when we all have faults that we could be accused of. By our own judgment we self destruct by annihilating one another in hypocritical judgment. That is the product of corruption and it is iniquity. Hence the willingness of Jesus who had no sin to die on a cross and his being put there by those who were the authorities and administrators of the law, is quite compelling. And yet he forgives returning good for evil and rises from the grave all the more glorious. This is appropriate for much discernment regarding our plight and how death is to be defeated.

In summary salvation is believing and being healed by the revelation of the Christ. And repentance is turning toward the Christ as the True Image of God whose Love is the Eternal Spirit. Faith that this Love will endure means you must be convinced that you also likely will suffer physical punishment and death by believing in it. For in a wicked world spiritually controlled by powers of darkness, they who are yet blind will persecute you for it, believing they are serving God.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
