Voters could get the right to overrule federal laws and mandates under the terms of an initiative filed late Thursday.

The Arizona Constitution already says the federal Constitution "is the supreme law of the land.'' This measure, if approved in November, would add language saying that federal document may not be violated by any government -- including the federal government.

More to the point, it would allow Arizonans "to reject any federal action that they determine violates the United States Constitution." That could occur through a vote of the state House and Senate with consent of the governor.

Im sure the feds are gonna love this.

This reminds me of South Carolina circa 1860... Let's just try to remember how that ended before anyone does something foolish...

Thing is, the feds are in violation of the constitution and they are killing my state. They need to back off. Az is fed up with the feds interference in our affairs and refusing to handle the tidal wave invasion from the south.

States do not have the power of nullification. This law will get bowled over.

Why don't they just secede and become their own country if they hate the feds and want to act like their own country? Or volunteer to become part of Mexico?

Mexico is a horrible place mark. Why would we want to belong to that country?

If we were to secede, then we would be taken over by mexico, which is not what we want. We want the feds to do their job and enforce the laws of our land. That should not be difficult.

They do not care as you are a place on a map in their offices which is not next to Mexico.Praying
