What is the difference between the UN and EU? Why do the EU want the United States to join so badly and why do they think that since Russia joined that we will be pressured into joining? :t2:

The UN is an organisation designed to try to build world peace by bringing all the nations of the world together. It was created after WWII and the powers that figured prominently in the fight currently posess veto powers over descisions passed down.

The EU is an organisation of Europeon nations to give them a better economic base from which to compete with the rest of the world. It attempts to commonise the economic standards of the involved nations as well as trade practices. The EU is in part designed to compete with the US so it is not likely that we will join the EU. It would entail changing our currency and other financial practices that we are not likely to do.

I believe the EU is the revived Roman Empire that will rule over the world in the end times. At present I believe there are 130 nations as members. They are in the process of ratifying their constitution ( no mention of God ), they don't want to "offend" anyone. Everyone who joins has to follow their rules. Once everyone joins, the nations will be divided into ten regions. Each region will have will have a leader of some sort, (ten kings), he will have control over the people in his region. Eventually the US will join the EU, it's just a matter of time.

It's all in Daniel, chapter 2.

The UN has always been the entity intended to push toward a one-world government. In the United Nations Plaza you have groups like Lucis Trust (formerly known as Lucifer Trust) and others like the International Planetary Citizens that have worked to make this push to one-world gov.

The ECU is the actual push to one-world gov by rallying the Europeans first because they know the most powerful, the U.S., will take longer to join. They know it will take time, but they are patiently working on it.

Alot of things have happened over the years with the Trilateral Commission and other organizations that were used to transfer wealth. I honestly cannot identify all the things that went on because its too much, but there have been alot of rich people involved in this thrust to move into the new age. Many right here in the U.S.

I've never heard that the EU wants the US to join it. As for the UN being the beginning of a one-world-government, fat chance of that happening what with all the squabbling that goes on there.

Huh?

Are you kidding? I don't think the UN has the authority to meddle in the internal affairs of thier member countries.

In any event, the trend of recent years is that the UN is getting less powerful, not more.

Huh? ;)

I don't think there are 130 countries in Europe. I think the latest total is about 28 countries in the EU, something like that. And the combined military might of all these countries is but a small percentage of the U.S. And when you consider that many of them (esp. the UK) are allies of the US, I don't think there's much of a chance of the EU ruling the world.

The UN is the world's largest debating league. Most major players(nations) send their best debating team. They compeat in an try to look like they are making an impact but its really just that. The U stands for Usless. They really don't get much of anything accomplished these days. Usless Nations

I hope they leave soon!

OK. I meant to say that eventually there will be 130 countries. Everyone will eventually be a part of the EU.

As for the UN, they have become a paper tiger and are becoming less and less influential. I don't think anyone takes them seriously.

In Christ,

CarolineS.

Where is this notion that everyone will eventually be part of the EU come from. It is specifically a Europeon group. It exists for the purpose of organising the Europeon countries so they can compete on even ground with the US, China, and other developing industrial powers.

As to the UN it was flawed from the start due to handing out Veto powers to a few nations. It has become ineffective because it has been abused by those nations. All the debate in the world will not suffice if one of the veto nations decides it simply doesn't want to play nice with the rest of the world.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
