we have a presidential candidate that feels that if we are to go to war, that it needs to be approved by the UN..... i guess he feels that the USA can not think for its self......

to me, that would be placing this nation under foreign rule........ hmmm does that match the constitution?????

not for it myself..... although there have already been US military members working under the emblems of the UN....... if I recall correctly, when i signed up, we were not to fight for foreign governments......

Its called being a good neighbor. Waging war affects everyone around us. We all have a vested interest in what other nations do to each other. Its a social skill. It amazes me how bravado and machismo pass for foreign policy these days. What particularly floors me is the followers of the prince of peace being all for war. And they say atheists aren't found in fox holes. I always wanted to know what the believers were doing in there killing other people in the first place.

The USA does not own the world. When we do something outside our borders its considered human decency to consult with other nations. Particularly in cases of nations that have a dominant supply of important resources. Other nations have considerations about them as well. Its not our oil buried under their sand.

The UN exists to maintain the peace. It took two world wars to demonstrate the necessity of such a body. The UN is not looking to rule the world. Its just trying to find a way for us all to live in peace.

The UN has always been the entity intended to push toward a one-world government.

Huh? ;)

Are you kidding? I don't think the UN has the authority to meddle in the internal affairs of thier member countries.

In any event, the trend of recent years is that the UN is getting less powerful, not more.

Initially the UN was started with that underlying intent; however, it operated as a mediating element. It is obvious that it cannot accomplish anything because there is no unity in their efforts and they are not for true justice in the execution of it's global role.

Where is this notion that everyone will eventually be part of the EU come from. It is specifically a Europeon group. It exists for the purpose of organising the Europeon countries so they can compete on even ground with the US, China, and other developing industrial powers.

As to the UN it was flawed from the start due to handing out Veto powers to a few nations. It has become ineffective because it has been abused by those nations. All the debate in the world will not suffice if one of the veto nations decides it simply doesn't want to play nice with the rest of the world.

The EU involves a more controlling financial element of countries using the same currency. Ultimately, in any scenario, financial control is the deciding factor unless a country is extremely powerful militarily in its own right, then its a question of military might for a short period. But once you have all countries on the same system (provided by the EU), then economic power rules. The EU may not like us, and they may be trying to get leverage against our economic strength, but they do want control.

The UN caters to the nations (except the U.S.), and that's why they don't have any strength. They offer veto power to nations who shouldn't have it because that is used to get them to come in and be a part of the UN assembly. I don't doubt that alot of the nations despise the UN.

OK.  I meant to say that eventually there will be 130 countries.  Everyone will eventually be a part of the EU.

I doubt it. That would defeat the explicit purpose of the EU's existence!

The EU is the beginning of the revived Roman Empire. Eventually all countries and peoples will be a part of it. The size, economic strength, ability to produce goods and market them will surpass that of the US. The only way to compete in the new market place will be to become a part of it.

Let's see what Daniel has to say about it in chapter 7, verse 23-24:

"The fourth beast shall be a fourth kingdom on earth, which shall be different from all other kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, trample it and break it in pieces.

The ten horns are ten kings who shall arise from this kingdom."

All countries on the globe will join the EU and then be divided into ten regions.

I believe this global union is unfolding now. I am sure there are powerful, elite people in the US and Europe who would love to see this happen. I am sure they are behind the scenes helping to orchestrate this global alliance.

It's only a matter of time.

In Christ,

CarolineS

I'd sure like to know where you got this info.

It would make no sense for the EU to admit so many countries so far from their own borders. All of their worldly ambitions are based upon the idea of being an exclusive club among themselves.

First of all it's just a theory. But it makes sense. I do alot of reading and I've read several books on the end times.

The book of Daniel and the book of Revelation are both good sources. Daniel chapter 7 and Rev. chapter 17, verse 12. The ten toes correspond with the ten horns.

Daniel told of four kingdoms that would rule the earth. First, the Babylonians,

2) the Medes & Persians, 3) Greece, 4) a fourth kingdom that shall devour the whole earth and break it into pieces (a revived roman empire.)

What is your opinion as to what the ten toes or ten horns or ten kings represent?

I have also read:

Hope of the Wicked: The Master Plan to Rule the World; by Ted Flynn

The Sign; by Robert Van Kampen

The Beast of Revelation; by John H. Ogwyn

You may be right about the EU's intentions to start with. But alot of evil things start out looking good on the surface. In time they will show their true colors.

In Christ,

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
