to answer your question, the translation is flawed...... the preposition is "in" not "on". that is, taking his mark in the mind (in the forehead) which as you aptly point out is "worship" and the mark in the hand is the production of "works" that are fruit of faith in the beast. if you or i or any of us are blessed to be hauled off to be (brow)beaten in the congregations of the beast, we've got nothing to fear.... just "let go and let God!"

This is flawed to. there is no preposition. Only a discription of a picture. used eight times total and probably only used by john and who ever wrote acts.

While some translations do use the word in in place of on this is the strongs defination of the word that is translated:

The King James/New King James are the only two versions that I have that has the word "in" used. Considering the changes in the english language I have a problem in using just one version when the very greek that it comes from does not use the word "in" in its defination.

unfortunately other one. even the strongs was changed to popular opinion. I used a strongs book for study back in 1983 that didn't say what you posted at all. But in order to sell books and software. Well you know what they have to do to secure their spot in the market place. Even croswalk has upgraded their strongs to the modern version.

But even strongs originally was doing an injustice by translating from latin back into greek and hebrew. Then trying to translate it back into english. But none of it can teach anyone the SPIRIT of GOD. that has to be asked for, from GOD. And long periods of prayer and fasting in asking the LORD for understanding help to.

God has been training us in our personal lives for years to trust Him as our source. This makes it easier to choose to honour Him rather than any world system that will require you to deny Him. I think that living for Him and making choices everyday that glorify Him and that go against what the world system finds popular is the start of us taking a stand to see His kingdom reign.

epi can mean both "in" or "on"...it simply depends upon what case it's found in. If it's in the genative case, then it can only mean "on". If it's in the locative case, then it can mean both "in" and "on". If it's used in the accusative case then it will mean "over". The only way to figure out what case it's in is to examine the scripture it is found in.

In Revelation 14 the preposition epi is being used with the word autos which in the actual sentence is written autou. This is significant because the ending ou (beautiful letters btw...Boomer Sooner) is a second declension noun ending which is only used in the masucline genative case. Catch that? It's used in the genative. Thus it is a translation error within the King James to say "in". The proper translation is "on".

The other thing to remember as well is that Revelation is written in Greek from a Hebrew mindset...thus all the idioms are Hebrew idioms. I forget where in Deuteronomy, but it talks about how the Jews are to write the law upon their heads and upon their hands. This was a literal command (and is followed through to this day) requiring a physical action...but it was also symbolic in that the law was suppose to be written in their mind and in their actions. The Mark of the Beast (remember, the antichrist does everything opposite to God) is a literal mark but is also symbolic of what has occured within the person who has recieved it. So the symbolism and literal interpretation aren't mutually exclusive, but compliment each other and make biblical sense.

I am doubting this verichip being "the mark". The mark will surely be largely global if it is to play a role in hindering the salvation of Gods' children. Are we to suspect that the mark will be made available to mostly Christians and Jews and forego the rest of the world?

Those in America will not be faced with the mark directly. The next big things on God's agenda r the raising up of Israel and the bringing down of America and America will see russian nuclear bombs before the antichrist come on the scene. I know this is not a popular belief but it is correct. i could give u the scriptures but it would just start another discussion. I am one that God has given knowledge and understand to, why me i do not know. God is going to do all that He can to win as many as he can and the only ones left will be those that reject Him. Most of the church is Matthew 7:22 & 23, because they will not make God the MOST IMPORTANT to them. When people r faced with need God can talk to them.
