Food to eat and a loving and caring God. Im thankful for the promises that God gives us because at times, its all we have, its all we have to hold on to and all we have to look forward to. Romans 8:28 "And we know all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Ephesians 5:20 "Giving thanks always for all things unto God, even the Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; And that's why we can be confident in giving thanks in all circumstances, because God is a God who keeps ALL His promises, and working all things to the good is one of them. No matter if we cannot make sense of it, it has a purpose. "I once wept because I had no shoes; until I met a man with no feet." (Old saying) There are so many things that we should be thankful for, especially the small things that we take for granted. We praise the Lord for the big interventions in our lives but what about the small things, like being healthy, having a family.....that is complete in love and devotion towards the Lord, clothes, a job, food on the table. I find myself in this same predicament, taking things for granted. I know i need a lot less of myself and more of the Lord, what about you? As you all know I live in the UK and therefore we do not celebrate, "Thanksgiving" If I did live across the pond the above posting from jacob I think, would be my answer. In this time of your festivities I extend my thoughts and prayers to all those members of Worthy that are celebrating , "Thanksgiving". May it be a time of peace, love, understanding and blessings. God bless you all and please remember those that have less than you. Love Nigel
