I hope each and every one researched each of the candidates prior to voting....

checking out their track record ( a good indicator of how they will be running their race in the future ).......

it is not a good thing to gloat over a victory, that can cause pride.....

America wants blessings???? then America needs to turn towards God and spend lots more time in prayer....

America wants healings???? then America needs to turn towards God and spend lots more time in prayer....

the man in office is not the one that will provide blessings, or lead the country out of the pits of hell..... this battle will have to be won on the knees of those that are faithful.....

the success of a man is not seen in their wealth, but is seen by their relationship, their prayer life with God.....

I prayed for the election, i did not pray that Bush would win the election, I did not pray that Kerry would win the election..... I prayed that God would have His way...

and that I would be alert enough to know what God was saying and to have faith (guts ) enough to do what God is directing me to do......

I was in the military when it was "OK'd " for gays to stay in, the man in office was Clinton...... I no longer agreed with the policy, so i left the military, for there was nothing we could to about two persons in our berthing that were openly gay. even thou the UCMJ had not taken out or rewrote the law ( sodomy )...... I could do more good in the "civilian" world about it then in the military world.....

now,

Now that Bush is back in office for another four years.......... what are you going to do to support him???? what is Bush going to do to support God.....

The instructions we have to support Bush are in the Bible...... the Bible tells us how we are to act towards our leaders...... if Kerry was the victor, then we would still be bound to the same instructions......

Remember, this is our country, the President works for the people..... we elected him, we pay him, and we support him.... he is a servant of the people... a public servant.........

Well said Mr and Mrs Irish. I too prayed that he would empower the candidate that would best serve him. What has been the saddest thing about this whole election is that our president spends 9 months or more just trying to stay in office instead of taking care of business. I am most grateful he is back to work.

Have any of you ever read the US Declaration of Independence? Are you aware of the fact that this country was founded upon the principle of Separation of Church and State?

I find it extremely disturbing that every time I log on, I find posts that equate our political leaders with God and His Path. I am saddened and disappointed. This does not support a spiritual brother- and sisterhood. This creates a deep, deep divide. We are free to practice and live well as Christians (and for the record, Kerry is a practicing and deeply pious Catholic-- I know, I have met him; you all seem to be brainwashed by Bush's arrogant swagger and greed), but many citizens of the world find faith, solace, and guidance in other Forms. I don't understand your "Christian" non-acceptance. Does not sound very loving and Christ-like to me.

The concept of separation of church and state and it's implications and applications could be discussed at great length. I have no doubt that Kerry is a devout and pious Catholic. And I agree at least some extent with your comment about equating political leaders wtih god and his path. It just seems to me that Kerry's views are divergent from the teaching of the Catholic Church. If he (Kerry) were as pious as you say, then I would be inclined to think that Kerry might be more inclined to fall in line with some of the key beliefs of the church that are also hot political issues.

Separation of Church and State means one thing and one thing only. No Church can form a government over the people, period! It doesn't mean that our leaders can't be Christians. It doesn't mean that our President should preach either. What it DOES mean is that voting in a practicing Christian is going to be to your benefit no matter what your belief is. Christians lower taxes and Christians make it easier for individuals to pursue liberty and happiness. Non-believers and people with no moral compass would rather take what you have and ration out what they think you need. Christians make life harder for criminals. Christians execute murderers and rapists, fulfilling God's law. Christians simply take care of business no matter how unpopular secular people might think it is. Everyone benefits from the wisdom that Christ taught and those that practice wisdom in governing, can only bring about a better life for those they govern. If you think the war in Iraq is wrong, you are mislead. If you think that freedom is worth fighting for and necessary, good job, you're thinking right. You see we are ALWAYS at war as Christians people! Satan is our enemy and life is spiritual warfare. We are running a race and we are going to win regardless of the communists and those that have no room for God in their life. God is going to setup His kingdom right here on Earth. God is the ultimate Governor.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
