interesting movie. Though, Id like to point out some inconsistencies that Ive seen. First off, it goes through trumpets 1-3 and lists them, and then goes through and lists some natural disasters. Though it doesn't come out and say it, the creators are linking the two- the inferrence is that the natural disasters, these "signs" from God so to speak, are part of the first 3 trumpets, and secondly, that all natural calamities have to be "signs" from God.

Im going to address the first inconsistency first. None of the natural calamities match what the Bible says about the first 3 trumpets. Sure, theres droughts here and there, but we havent seen 1/3 of the trees, or even our fresh water source, disappear anywhere. In fact, in some areas like where I live, there are easily 2-3 times more trees then there were 100 years ago. So its prettty apparent, that they haven't sounded yet.

Secondly, they showed that natural disasters can be a sign from God-but thats not saying that they all are. In fact, I think natural disasters are just that, natural. I believe God can use these for His own good-and in some cases are signs and warnings against people, and the mere fact theyre happening are a sign of Gods power, but I believe most of them are just part of how the world works.

I've been watching this all afternoon. At first I thought I was agreeing with it. But now I'm not sure. I'd like to know who are the people who made these videos? Does anyone know? They're very scary, and when things get this scary and disturbing, I start to wonder if it's God's truth, or is it partially God's truth, mixed with lies.

Especially the video about leaving the cities NOW. About 20 years ago I was asked to listen to an audio cassette made by 2 people who claimed a Catholic saint told them we had to leave the cities right away. That was 20 years ago, and this is almost the same message.

I hope these videos are wrong.

If I had nothing to go on apart from this movie, I would have to say, well, we are not even to the first trumpet yet.

In other words, nothing has changed for me. I wish the movie would have, never-the-less, at least tried to be more evangelistic, Jesus is scarcely mentioned.

It was also interesting to note, that the movie mentioned the "erroneouos belief" that all 7 trumpets are past. Can't say I have run across people saying that, and if that were true, then I wouldn't find revelation as very intimidating, if we can get through the three woes unscathed. If it we up to me, I would not have approved this movie, just because it is so out there, it seems unworthy of consideration, but that is just me. Why upset people with things that neither match the bible nor the reality of the world we live in?

What do you guys think is going to happen at the sounding of the first 4 trumpets? And what do you think will be the ramifications of those events?

We can only go by scripture. From Revelation 8:7-13

First Trumpet: Vegetation Struck

The first angel sounded: And hail and fire followed, mingled with blood, and they were thrown to the earth. And a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.

Second Trumpet: The Seas Struck

Then the second angel sounded: And

something

like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. And a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.

Third Trumpet: The Waters Struck

Then the third angel sounded: And a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter.

Fourth Trumpet: The Heavens Struck

Then the fourth angel sounded: And a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them were darkened. A third of the day did not shine, and likewise the night.

And I looked, and I heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, “Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the remaining blasts of the trumpet of the three angels who are about to sound!”

Notice how scripture tells us that when the First Trumpet sounds, 1/3 of all the trees and all the green grass will burn. In contrast, the video states that all the worlds crops will burn and 1/3 of the trees. There is a difference that is misleading. Our crops vs. green grass. Which is true? Their view is stating that this will cause a global famine. The global famine sounds more like the breaking of the Third Seal, where the price of a quart of wheat or three quarts of barley will be a days wage.

The Second Trumpet, according to scripture, is something like a burning mountain being cast into the sea, where 1/3 of the sea turns to blood, causing 1/3 of the creatures in the sea to die, and 1/3 of the ships to be destroyed. The video focuses first on a tsunami like no other ever seen, destroying 1/3 of all the ships at sea, even giving an estimation of the number of about 18,000. The video never mentions 1/3 of the water turning to blood or 1/3 the of the sea creatures dying. Instead of sticking with scripture, they are adding to scripture, stating that many will die in coastal cities around the world. IF this were true, I believe scripture would mention it.

They are pretty close about the Third Trumpet, but they leave out the death of people due to the bitter water caused by the falling star named Wormwood.

The video then compares the world view of climate change causing disasters instead of these events being a warning from God. They continue with stating that when the Fourth Trumpet sounds, the world will suddenly wake up. Will it?

The video continues onto describing the Fourth Trumpet's affect on mankind. They state that the sun will not shine for 1/3 of the day and the moon and stars will not shine for 1/3 of the night, placing the world in complete darkness. How is this possible? Do they disappear somehow? Does the sun all of a sudden loose its light, or the moon and stars? Instead of claiming that the sun, moon and stars are all of a sudden turned off for 1/3 of the time they usually shine, many see this as they will loose 1/3 of their brightness. A careful study of the words used does support the lessening of the brightness instead of the idea of total darkness.

The creators of the video are taking advantage of their promotional license and dramatize the actual events into something scripture does not conclude. As with most other videos of the end times, this one takes scripture out of context, leaving some out and adding in their own version, all for trying to cause more effect on people.

Though I will agree that the remaining 3 Trumpets are more powerful than the first four, called the last three Woes, they are not indescribable. Scripture does describe them. They also are throwing the term probation into the mix, as if the world had not been in a state of probation from the time of Adam and Eve. Yet, while scripture does not say that this "probation " ends at any specific time, they claim it does, as if God will close the door to salvation at the time the vials/bowls are poured out. Scripture never states this. Scripture states that mans heart will grow colder, not that He removes the chance for salvation through His Son Jesus.

I know you did not ask for a comparison, but this is the best way I could explain, by showing the differences.

Thank you Onelight-- very thorough. This video was the 4th in a series in which the first 3 trumpets are covered more in depth---each trumpet has own vid. I do not know how the heavenly bodies will darken for a third of their time and will consider the explanation you gave, with prayer & study. I don't think a lot of people will wake up at the 4th trumpet, but I do think more will have to consider that the events occurring are more than natural or associated with man made global warming. Maybe by this time more will be willing to listen to the good news that The Redeemer, Jesus Christ has indeed come & given Himself as sacrifice in their place because He loves them.

To me it seems that if a huge meteor were to strike an ocean, the result would indeed be a huge tsunami that would affect coastal areas--don't ya think? I do not see that as adding to scripture, but thinking it through to probable conclusion.
