This is the prayer we should be praying now more than ever, as the day fast approaches. However, it seems that the hearts of many indeed have grown cold.

From a search on the subject via Google:

We live in perilous times, brethren. But more than praying to escape tribulation or persecution, we need to pray that we will endure to the end. Ask yourself, will you stand with Jesus? Blessings xx

This is really nothing new. Remember, Peter denied Jesus 3 times.

Yes, but he was restored when he re-affirmed his love for Jesus three times also. Judas betrayed Jesus and was condemned in his un-repentance. It may not be new, but that doesn't mean its any less important. The once-saved-always-saved doctrine didn't really work out for Judas, did it?

Was Judas ever saved to begin with?

Food for thought.

Thanks for the food. Got me thinking:

The same question could be applied to all twelve apostles. Did they follow Jesus because they really believe? Did they grow to believe as time wore on? What about this:

Acts 5v1-5

But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession. 2 And he kept back part of the proceeds, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles’ feet. 3 But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? 4 While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.”

5 Then Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and breathed his last. So great fear came upon all those who heard these things. 6 And the young men arose and wrapped him up, carried him out, and buried him.

Seconds later the same thing happened to his wife. Why were the others gathered afraid? These two died in sin. What does that tell you?

The same principles apply to Jesus' disciples today. Just remember, we all have the same capacity to deny/betray Him/fall away.

The love of many will grow cold. And if we do not love God, we are not His friends, but enemies.

What about this:

Revelation 3:15-16

15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot,[a] I will vomit you out of My mouth.

What is God telling us about these people? Their hearts aren't cold, but they are lukewarm and not hot. In other words, not 100%. With God it's all or nothing:

James 1v5-7

5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

Anything. Take that any way you want to. Definitely got me thinking.

Blessings xx

here is a question: what if you are asked to deny Jesus to save your childs life? What if you do it and then immediately in your head repent for it? What if you are repenting for it before you even do it and do it still and then repent again. This could happen someday.

This could indeed happen, and it is the real test:

Matthew 10:37 He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.

He said it.

I agree and for many parents it is a deep deep fear. However you will find in the answers, you get a flood of angry people on either side.

I have already been placed in this position. I have had to choose Jesus over my whole family. Since I have chosen to follow him with my whole heart, everyone including my wife turned away from me. They won't turn back except I deny him though they themselves claim to know him.

I found your choice of words interesting. Flood of angry people. This is what the end will be. A flood of angry demon possessed people wreaking havoc everywhere. It will be very tempting to deny Christ and save ones own neck from a guillotine.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
