What? Its icky death. Yea I know, but look at his response towards those who are killing him. Look at how he looked to the Lord instead of his dire circumstances. Look at how whiney we get when life gets tough instead of looking to the Lord. Sorta reminds me of the parable of the sower. Matthew 13:20-21 But that which was sown on the stony places is this: he who hears the Word and immediately receives it with joy. But he has no root in himself, and is temporary. For when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, he immediately stumbles. they had such a fury response towards him. and the parable of the sower was good one too, not too long ago I remember the sermon pastor gave on the 4 types of soil. One of my favorite stories is the Story of David and Goliath. It inspires me because no matter the difficulty, and even though no one is there for you or by your side, it only matters that the Lord is there. For we are surely conquerors through Christ who gives us strength. yes jacob, i agree david and goliath great story.

Sinai, and God in the smoke, clouds, with lightening. I know if I had been there, I would have been just as afraid as those there, but I can just imagine this glorious display of God's power and majesty. (Of course, I am impressed by thunder and lightening storms as to me they show God's glory and power in creation).

It was his who he loved so dearly. Can you imagine how hard it had to be for him. But Abrahams was a man full of faith and obedience, and he feared God. When we obey God and his commands, it shows how much we fear God.
